Black Man Arrested in Woman’s Horrific Hanging Death After Democrats Rushed to Call It a “Lynching”

Last month, a young woman was found dead, hanging from a tree in Jackson, Mississippi.

Her name is Tasia Fortune, and she was just 29 years old. Sadly, she leaves behind four children.

Almost immediately after news of this young mother’s horrific death broke out, Democrats disgustingly started politicizing the tragedy.

They tried to use it as an example of an alleged rise in “lynchings” of black people by white people.

For example, here’s how CNN reported on it:

CNN: "The imagery of a black person in the South hanging from a tree evokes painful memories"

PS: Her black boyfriend was arrested

I wonder why CNN left that out

Or, take a look at this post from AOC, in response to another post from fellow Democrat ‘Squad’ member Rep. Ayanna Pressley:

This year, there have already been 10 reported hangings of Black people in the U.S.

I’m proud to have signed onto @RepPressley ‘s letter to address these widespread modern-day lynchings and put a stop to this racial terror. https://t.co/ISo20mbLyg

But now, a murder suspect has been arrested — and, he doesn’t exactly fit the profile that Democrats pushing the “lynching” narrative expected.

Jarques Ratliff, a 51-year-old black man, has been charged for the murder.

Here’s a photo of him:

CNN initially suggested that White racism was to blame for the incident.

Ratliff was arrested on Friday, just one day after Tasia Fortune’s death was ruled a homicide.

At this time, a motive has not been revealed.

NBC News reported:

Jarques Ratliff was arrested Friday afternoon and will be charged with homicide, Jackson Police Chief RaShall Brackney told reporters. She said he had an “association” with Fortune, but did not disclose what kind.

Fortune’s body was discovered Aug. 3 behind an abandoned building in Jackson. Her family had previously said they did not believe Fortune died by suicide. The case sparked widespread alarm and media attention given Mississippi’s sordid history with racial violence.

Her death was officially classified as a homicide Thursday evening, Brackney said. That determination led police to secure two search warrants and an arrest warrant for Ratliff, she said.

Investigators served the search warrants Friday, but Ratliff was not found at the location. Officers heading back to headquarters later found him walking along Capitol Street and took him into custody, Brackney said.

“The arrest today is an important development in this investigation, but it is not the conclusion. This case remains active, and additional arrests will be pending as our investigators continue to follow the evidence wherever it leads,” she said, adding: “because Tasia and her children deserve nothing less.”

Within the past year, two other dead bodies have been found hanging in Mississippi — but, those were both ruled suicides.

The New York Post noted:

Fortune’s death came less than a year after two other hanging deaths in the state — 21-year-old Delta State University student Trey Reed and Cory Zukatis, a 30-something homeless man.

Both of those cases were ultimately ruled suicides by authorities.

Count this as yet another ridiculous Democrat race hoax that has been thoroughly debunked!

Who’s surprised?
