Vice President JD Vance slammed Texas Democratic Senate nominee James Talarico over his views on sex education in schools and urged voters to elect Republican nominee Ken Paxton.

“Talarico says that sex ed is maybe the most important topic for kids to learn at school. You know what Ken Paxton thinks the most important topics for kids to learn at school? Reading, writing, and arithmetic,” Vance said Tuesday.

“We want Talarico to keep his freaky paws out of our schools,” he continued. “Elect Ken Paxton so that our kids learn how to read at schools. That’s all they need to be doing.”

Vance spoke at Tyler Pounds Regional Airport in Tyler, Texas, as part of a GOP midterm campaign rally.
