Rep. Ilhan Omar has not been seen publicly since federal agents searched her Washington home last week, while her husband has brushed off questions about the investigation and relatives have been spotted coming and going.
Tim Mynett, the Minnesota Democrat’s husband, told the outlet he has “no concerns” about the investigation. Fox reported that he has periodically left the house, usually to walk the family dog, Teddy.
Asked about unsubstantiated rumors that Omar had left the country, Mynett turned his frustration on the reporters outside.
“You guys are annoying the hell out of the neighbors around here, man,” said Mynett.
Fox News Digital reported that Homeland Security Investigations agents searched the residence before dawn last week. Omar’s phone and passport were seized.
Her eldest daughter, Isra Hirsi, arrived Saturday night, driving a black sedan into the driveway before carrying a bag to the front door, according to the outlet.
“What’s your problem?” Hirsi said to Fox News Digital after getting out of her car.
U.S. Capitol Police also appeared on the street that night. The agency’s protective responsibilities extend to members of Congress and their families beyond the Capitol complex. The report did not establish why officers were there.

On Monday, Fox reported seeing a teenager believed to be Omar’s younger daughter enter the residence with a woman the outlet described as an apparent caretaker. Neither identification was confirmed in the report.
The outlet said it had not seen Omar’s son arrive at the house since the search.
The scrutiny has also reached Omar’s sister, Sahra Noor. Three sources told Fox News Digital that Noor voluntarily spoke with federal investigators last week.
Noor missed a scheduled appearance on her Minnesota book tour that week. The bookstore hosting the event attributed her absence to a “family emergency.”
Hirsi, 23, has drawn attention for her own activism, including her participation in the anti-Israel protests at Columbia University in 2024.
Hirsi, now a Barnard College graduate, was arrested during the 2024 demonstrations at Columbia University and suspended by Barnard. The encampment protests continued for roughly two weeks before the NYPD cleared the site.
Her political organizing predates the campus uproar. In 2019, Hirsi co-founded U.S. Climate Strike, which helped organize student walkouts and pushed for the Green New Deal and a transition to entirely renewable energy.
The group’s platform went well beyond “green” policies, embracing universal health care, student debt relief, stronger unions and the return of land to Native Americans. Hirsi has also publicly criticized capitalism on social media.
Omar shares her three children with Ahmed Hirsi. The two held a religious marriage ceremony in 2002 and legally married in 2018.
In between, Omar was legally married to Ahmed Nur Said Elmi from 2009 to 2017. Allegations that Elmi is her brother remain unsubstantiated. Omar married Mynett, a political consultant, in 2020.
