A mysterious creature reportedly prowling near the U.S.-Mexico border has sparked a frenzy after surveillance cameras captured images of an unidentified animal that one prominent UFO investigator claims could be something not entirely of this world.
The bizarre discovery comes from Mexico’s Valley of Juárez, a rural farming region near the Rio Grande, where residents have allegedly reported chickens, roosters and rabbits disappearing under strange circumstances.
Mexican UFO researcher Jaime Maussan claims an unknown predator is responsible for the attacks, describing a frighteningly agile creature with unusually long limbs, pale skin and a massive tail.
His team unveiled photographs Oct. 17 that purportedly show the mysterious animal moving through the area and scaling a brick wall.

Researchers estimated the creature measured nearly six feet from head to tail, with its tail alone accounting for approximately three feet.
But the photographs have raised more questions than answers.
Maussan suggested the animal possesses unusual intelligence and could potentially walk on two legs, although the available surveillance images do not show it standing upright.
And his explanation for the creature’s possible origins took an even stranger turn.
‘Why did it appear there? It’s a mystery. Are they interdimensional beings? Are they beings who came with other beings? Did they come in ships?’ Maussan told Mexican news outlets.
The investigator floated the possibility that the mysterious predator might not be extraterrestrial but instead originate from another dimension.
There is no scientific evidence supporting that theory.
According to Maussan, his investigation began after a boy allegedly witnessed the creature grabbing a chicken by its head before fleeing up a nearby tree.

Researchers working with him claim the animal does not resemble common wildlife found in Chihuahua, including raccoons, rodents and rabbits.
‘It’s a predator. I’m not saying it’s extraterrestrial, but it is something scary,’ Maussan told NetNoticias.Mx.
‘Its intelligence and agility are truly frightening. I don’t believe it attacks people, but it is affecting the interests of those who live in the so-called Juárez Valley.’
Maussan also claimed some frightened residents had abandoned their homes because of the alleged creature.
However, local authorities have pushed back on the sensational reports.

Juárez Civil Protection officials said they had received no reports confirming the existence of a dangerous unidentified animal or the disappearance of livestock.
Authorities on the Texas side of the border similarly told the El Paso Times that no unusual animal encounters or livestock deaths had been reported.
Those denials cast serious doubt on claims that an unknown predator is terrorizing communities along the border.
Maussan’s credibility has also come under scrutiny because of his involvement in previous alleged extraterrestrial discoveries.
In 2023, he presented supposed nonhuman remains to Mexico‘s Congress, claiming they could provide evidence of alien life.
Forensic examinations later identified purported alien specimens as fabricated objects assembled using bones and other materials.

Another creature Maussan previously investigated, dubbed El Ser de Metepec, was eventually exposed as a modified squirrel monkey prepared by a taxidermist.
Despite that history, Maussan has compared the latest discovery to the earlier case, suggesting the new animal could resemble a larger version of the supposed creature.
Some UFO enthusiasts have also speculated that unusual sightings could involve beings from other dimensions rather than visitors from distant planets.
Such theories remain speculative, and no verified scientific findings establish that interdimensional creatures exist.
For now, the mysterious photographs have not been independently authenticated as depicting an unknown species.
Until researchers produce clearer evidence or wildlife specialists identify the animal, the so-called Valley of Juárez creature remains an unexplained claim rather than a confirmed discovery.
