On Tuesday, 56-year-old Dawn Light was arrested outside the courthouse where Lindsay Clancy is being tried for murdering her three young children.

Light was arrested on one count of jury intimidation after allegedly taking photos of the jurors after they were released for the day without reaching a verdict.

If you missed it, here’s our original report:

Now, just one day after her arrest, Dawn Light has officially been arraigned in court.

During her arraignment, we learned that she was not only (allegedly) taking pictures of the jury, but recording them as well.

Because the Lindsay Clancy trial involves a potential life sentence, Dawn Light is in deep trouble. She is facing up to 20 years in prison, if convicted.

However, she is pleading not guilty.

Fox News provided additional coverage in this clip:

Dawn Light is a nurse from Sutton, MA.

She is also a self-described “crime junkie” who follows high-profile court trials.

In an interview with the Connecticut Insider, Light claimed that she was only trying to get a photo of Lindsay Clancy:

In an interview with CT Insider Wednesday morning before her arraignment, Light said was trying to record Clancy leaving the courthouse Tuesday afternoon. When she realized the person she was filming was not Clancy, she said, she quickly lowered her phone.

She said a court employee approached her and asked whether she worked at the courthouse. When Light said no, the employee asked for her driver’s license and phone, she said. Light said she handed over her license, but refused to surrender her phone. The employee called over a state trooper, who confiscated her phone and arrested her, Light said.

“That’s the long and the short of it,” Light said. “I don’t know how I intimidated anyone.”

Light sat in the courtroom Wednesday morning with her husband, Paul Light, who said he originally is from Ledyard, Conn.

A self-described “crime junkie” and Clancy supporter, Light said she has attended several days of the Massachusetts mother’s trial, along with other high-profile cases, including those of Alex Murdaugh and Karen Read.

During today’s hearing, prosecutor Nicole Piacentini argued that Dawn Light put the “sanctity of the judicial system” at risk due to her actions.

However, Dawn Light’s attorney countered that it was all just a “misunderstanding.”

NBC Boston reported:

Prosecutors asked for $50,000 cash bail based on the seriousness of the charge.

“It’s very clear that this is a situation that is very serious for the Commonwealth. This is a case in which she is filming jurors that are coming out of the building,” Piacentini said. “The courthouse has taken extraordinary measures to protect the sanctity of the trial. This individual is not only videoing jurors coming in and out of the courthouse, she went back there to a restricted area. The sanctity of the judicial system is at risk because of her actions. It’s an extremely serious matter for the Commonwealth and the integrity of the proceedings.”

Piacentini also noted that Judge William Sullivan, who is presiding over the Clancy case, had issued an order specifically prohibiting the photographing or filming of jurors.

“Although she states she was looking for Lindsay Clancy to come out of the courthouse, it was clear she was filming the jurors,” she said. “Court officers were able to determine she was filming the jurors. She was in clear violation of the order by Judge Sullivan in this case.”

Light’s attorney, Jennifer White, argued against the high bail request, saying she has no prior record, has strong ties to the community and is not a flight risk.

“This is a complete misunderstading, your honor,” White said. “My client was seeking a picture of Ms. Clancy and had no interaction with the jurors.”

The judge ultimately agreed to release Light on personal recognizance bail, with the conditions that she stay away from the courthouse grounds, have no contact with jurors or witnesses in the Clancy trial and refrain from disseminating any of the photos or videos she took. She is scheduled to return to court on Oct. 15 for a pretrial hearing.

After she left the courthouse, Dawn Light was swarmed by reporters.

What a lunatic!

This whole thing is just ridiculous.

However, it is not expected to affect the trial.

The New York Post noted:

Clancy’s lawyer, Kevin Reddington, told reporters on his way into court that Light’s arrest “doesn’t affect us at all.”

Judge William Sullivan kicked off Wednesday’s deliberation day by sternly warning those following Clancy’s case that orders in place would be “enforced.” However, he did not specifically reference Light’s arrest.

Sullivan then brought each jury member into the room one by one and questioned them at sidebar.

The jurors all appeared to shake their heads or answer “no” when the judge asked his question.

Afterward, he brought them all in as a group and told them to resume the decision-making process.

What do you think?

Should Dawn Light get the full sentence for intimidating jurors?
