Days after the midterm elections, conservatives will gather just outside Washington, D.C., for The Forum 2026 to debate where their movement goes next.

Hosted by The Heritage Foundation, The Forum 2026 will welcome Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent as a featured speaker.

Bessent will be joined by other leaders, including commentator Scott Jennings, television personality Spencer Pratt, and entrepreneur Isaiah Taylor. The three-day conference will feature debates and conversations about the future of the conservative movement.

Other speakers include Heritage Foundation President Kevin Roberts, Conservative Partnership Institute President Ed Corrigan, former White House Legislative Affairs Director James Braid, former Virginia Del. Nick Freitas, and Daily Signal President Rob Bluey, along with many other prominent leaders.

The Forum 2026 will take place Nov. 10-12 at the Gaylord National Resort & Convention Center in Maryland. Six other conservative organizations are joining Heritage in sponsoring the event: Ben Franklin Fellowship, The Claremont Institute, Conservative Partnership Institute, Edmund Burke Foundation, Intercollegiate Studies Institute, and State Financial Officers Foundation.

“Heritage has always been committed to growing the conservative movement through coalition building,” Roberts told the Daily Signal. “The Forum is the latest example of our effort to forge a new fusionism capable of meeting today’s policy challenges.”

Treasury Secretary Bessent

Bessent has served as a key member of the Trump administration since his confirmation on Jan. 27, 2025. During his tenure, he has advanced major tax reforms and has supported policies central to the Trump agenda.

When asked about the U.S. economy at the 2026 World Economic Forum, Bessent stated, “I think it is very strong and likely accelerating.”

Bessent has also spoken of America’s golden opportunity.

“We have the potential for the Golden Age here, because if we unleash U.S. energy independence, energy dominance, I think we have the potential here to do a massive amount of deregulation.”

Looking Globally

Leaders representing a variety of perspectives within the conservative movement will present their ideas at The Forum and share their vision of our country’s future and its place in the world.

Prior to joining the Cabinet, Bessent spent his career in international finance, managing a hedge fund and investment company. Having Bessent as a part of this conversation will bring decades of global financial experience to the discussion of America’s most pressing economic and national security issues.

As Bessent has stated, “Economic security is national security.”
