Colorado has established a long and solid reputation for pushing the LGBT ideology onto its citizens. And getting in trouble for doing that.
It demanded that a baker promote those lifestyle choices in his statements, in violation of his Christian faith. The state lost at the Supreme Court.
Colorado, run in all three government branches by Democrats and other leftists, tried the same tactic with a web designer. It lost again at the Supreme Court.
Missing the court’s point entirely, the state then attempted its pro-LGBT agenda with a counselor, Yet again, it lost at the Supreme Court, with the cases being funded by millions of tax dollars from residents.
Now that agenda has infected a school district, and there’s a federal investigation into what has gone on.
Specifically, the allegation is that a teacher in the Denver school district demanded students of the same sex kiss each other in front of a class.
It is a Denver television station that confirmed the U.S. Department of Education is investigating those allegations.
The question is whether the district violated a federal law that gives parents the right to opt out of school evaluations on topics including sex behavior or attitudes.
“Parents must be the decision-makers in matters impacting the most intimate parts of their children’s lives,” said Frank Miller, director of the Student Privacy Policy Office at the Education Department.
Spokesman Scott Pribble from the Denver district said the district already had put the teacher on leave and done an investigation, then fired the teacher.
“The safety, emotional well-being, and dignity of our students are the absolute highest priorities of DPS,” said the statement released by Pribble. “Our actions to date have been wholly consistent with those priorities.”
The investigation has become part of the a long list of investigations launched by the administration of President Donald Trump into schools that provide accommodations, or even promote, transgender and LGBTQ lifestyle choices.
The Denver district already had been facing accusations it violated the Title IX federal law providing protections against sex-based discrimination.
