President Trump Drops 1,300-Word HAMMER on Bill Maher After Second White House Dinner

President Trump has had enough of Bill Maher.

Just days after welcoming the liberal HBO host back to the White House for a second private dinner, Trump unloaded in a massive online statement that ran more than 1,300 words.

It was not a mild disagreement. It was a line-by-line demolition of Maher’s public attacks, his private behavior, and the strange relationship that brought the two men together in the first place.

The statement was massive and unmistakable:

🚨
WOW! President Trump just BODY SLAMMED Bill Maher in a 1,300-word+ post, telling Maher after their 2nd White House dinner together to SCREW OFF, STOP CALLING:

"I wanted to tell Bill that he’s a major POTHEAD."

The full statement appeared Sunday night and was preserved by Trump’s Truth with the original timestamp and source link. The archive records it at 8:00 PM Eastern and retains the complete 1,323-word text.

Trump opened by branding Maher a “complete and total loser” and attacking the ratings of both Maher’s program and HBO. He then widened the argument into a history of how their unlikely White House meetings came together.

Trump recounted how mutual contacts Chuck LaBella and Kid Rock repeatedly pushed for meetings between the two men. He said Maher wanted access to the White House, wanted Trump on his show, and acted very differently in private than he does on television.

That private-versus-public contrast was the heart of Trump’s case. The president devoted much of the statement to arguing that Maher’s warmth at dinner vanished as soon as he returned to his studio audience.

According to Trump, Maher was cordial and eager behind closed doors. But after each dinner, the president said, the television host returned to attacking him for his audience.

Trump’s account also revisited the years of phone calls and invitations that preceded the dinners. He portrayed Maher as the person seeking the relationship, not the other way around.

That history matters because Sunday’s statement was written as a final accounting of the entire experiment. Trump walked readers from the first requests for a meeting through the televised commentary that convinced him to end it.

The first dinner took place in March 2025 after Kid Rock helped bring the pair together. Maher later told viewers that Trump had been gracious and measured in person, even while insisting he had not become a Trump supporter.

Then came dinner number two.

Fox News reported earlier this month that Maher had accepted another White House invitation after Trump reached out by text. The invitation came more than a year after their first dinner temporarily softened the tone of their long-running feud.

Maher told his podcast audience that Trump had been kind in their private exchange and had promised not to attack him before the meeting. Maher said he was willing to return despite resuming political criticism after their first dinner.

The report placed the invitation inside Maher’s broader argument for talking directly with political opponents. He insisted that sitting down with Trump did not mean surrendering his own views, becoming a supporter, or promising favorable television coverage afterward.

The October gathering also included Stephen A Smith and Kid Rock. Their presence gave both men additional witnesses to the tone and length of a dinner that would become the center of Sunday’s public dispute.

That expanded guest list turned the dinner from a private rematch into a wider conversation among figures who regularly speak to very different political audiences.

Maher later told viewers the dinner lasted four hours. In his Sunday statement, Trump disputed that account, saying it lasted about two hours and that White House timestamps could establish the length.

Trump said he initially considered the meeting pleasant and believed everyone left happy. After watching Maher’s next program, however, he concluded that he had learned nothing and wasted his time.

The sharpest accusations came midway through the statement:

🚨
BRUTAL! President Trump just absolutely TORCHED Bill Maher in a massive post!
Called him a drunk, gutless loser who pretends to love Trump in private, then cries on TV for ratings.
Told him: "DON'T CALL ANYMORE."

Trump then worked through the television remarks that appeared to set him off.

He accused Maher of misleading viewers about Trump’s standing inside the Republican Party and disputed Maher’s treatment of the administration’s Iran policy. He also defended his endorsement record and rejected a claim that he planned to build a swimming pool in the White House briefing room.

The president was especially unhappy with Maher’s latest show featuring former White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt.

Trump praised Leavitt’s performance and said she had been forced to battle a hostile setup and a string of falsehoods. He also accused Maher of misrepresenting voter-registration issues in California.

Those are Trump’s assertions, and several remain politically disputed. But there was nothing ambiguous about why he wrote the post: He believes Maher presents one face at the White House table and another when the cameras turn on.

Maher, for his part, has defended the dinners as a chance to speak directly with the president rather than merely criticizing him from a studio.

RealClearPolitics reported that Maher used his Friday program to mock critics angry about the meeting and said he likes the dinners.

Maher argued that he was willing to say things to the president face-to-face that other critics write from a distance. He also joked about being announced at the White House and described the evening as an unusually long conversation.

The segment mixed praise for having direct access with jokes at Trump’s expense. Maher also returned to political attacks on the president, his administration, and Republican candidates.

That combination explains the fury of Trump’s response. The president accused Maher of using cordial private meetings to secure access and then turning hostile again when the cameras came on.

Trump clearly did not appreciate what followed on television, and he made the future of the relationship plain.

The biggest blow came at the end, when the president told Maher, “Bill: Don’t call anymore.”

He also told Republicans to stop treating Maher like a transformative voice and made clear that the invitation pipeline was closed.

The political reversal is hard to miss:

Ten days after dinner at the White House, the political odd couple appears to be finished.

Maher wanted another conversation with Trump.

After seeing what came next on HBO, Trump delivered his answer in 1,323 words — and left no room for a third dinner.
