That’s when the Brazilian Supreme Court — led by a justice who used to be Lula’s personal lawyer — suddenly extended voting by an additional two hours, benefiting Lula and securing his narrow victory over Bolsonaro.
Now, he’s been declared the winner.

CNBC has more:
Although Lula has been declared the victor, it’s possible that the election will be contested.
Ultimately, it could even be annulled due to the last-minute Supreme Court move.
