President Donald Trump’s fiercely loyal aide Natalie Harp has moved even closer to the Oval Office, securing a workspace inside the president’s private dining room as the White House gears up for a high-stakes midterm showdown.
Harp, 35, previously worked from a desk outside the Oval Office but now operates just steps from Trump, surrounded by stacks of news articles and political updates, according to The New York Times.
The unusual arrangement underscores the extraordinary access Harp enjoys within Trump’s inner circle, where loyalty and direct communication with the president remain prized commodities.
Harp has become one of Trump’s most recognizable behind-the-scenes aides, earning a reputation for constantly supplying him with printed reports, favorable coverage and developments from across the political landscape.
When she isn’t sorting through documents, she is frequently positioned near Trump’s desk, ensuring the president has immediate access to information throughout the day.
Her relocation comes as Republicans enter the final stretch before the November midterms, with Democrats hoping to seize congressional power and unleash another round of investigations targeting the Trump administration.
According to the Times, interviews with 16 current and former administration officials and allies revealed concerns about internal disagreements, personnel turnover and the possibility of Democrats winning control of Congress.

Some outside Republican organizations have also reportedly warned White House aides about challenges facing GOP candidates in closely contested races.
But Trump has shown little interest in retreating from the campaign trail.
Instead, the president has continued traveling through battleground states, holding nearly daily rallies and throwing his political weight behind Republican candidates ahead of Election Day.

Meanwhile, several Democrats have already threatened sweeping congressional investigations and possible impeachment proceedings if their party regains control of either chamber.
Those threats have reportedly prompted some administration officials to begin consulting attorneys in anticipation of potential investigations.
The prospect of another Democratic-led investigative offensive has raised the stakes for Republicans determined to preserve their congressional majorities.
Inside the White House, Harp remains among a select group of aides with unusually close access to the president.

Federal housing official Bill Pulte has also reportedly become a regular presence around Trump, occasionally bringing the president internet memes and artificial intelligence-generated images.
Pulte recently prepared a poster featuring Republican Sen. Jon Husted of Ohio, according to the report.
Harp, however, plays a more direct role in handling the president’s daily information flow and public messaging.
Over the weekend, Trump reportedly dictated a roughly 1,300-word Truth Social response to comedian Bill Maher while aboard Air Force One.

The president had taken issue with Maher’s comments about his past association with Jeffrey Epstein and delivered a forceful response.
‘You’re not transformative, you’re a Loser!’ Trump declared.
The episode demonstrated Harp’s proximity to Trump during moments when he decides to confront critics directly rather than allow attacks to go unanswered.
Her expanding presence comes amid a broader shakeup involving several administration officials.
Trump recently dismissed press secretary Katie Zacharia after just five days in the position.
Politico also reported that the president had privately discussed replacing White House chief of staff Susie Wiles.
Trump rejected that reporting as ‘Total Fake News’ and maintained that Wiles retained his complete confidence.
Elsewhere, longtime Trump associate Paolo Zampolli was dismissed following reports of a contentious dispute with senior State Department official Christopher Landau.

Kimberly Guilfoyle was also removed as ambassador to Greece following allegations that she requested $100,000 from a Trump donor to cover an American Express bill.
Administration officials have not publicly established that those separate departures were connected to Harp’s relocation or the approaching election.
Beyond Washington’s internal political battles, Donald Trump is also confronting economic challenges as the conflict with Iran continues to disrupt global energy markets.
Gasoline prices reportedly averaged approximately $4.29 per gallon Monday, compared with less than $3 before the United States and Israel launched strikes against Iran in February.
Iran’s restrictions on passage through the Strait of Hormuz have intensified concerns about energy supplies, while stalled negotiations have left uncertainty surrounding future prices.
Those developments have added another complication to the final days of the midterm campaign.
Still, the president has continued appearing before Republican crowds as his party makes its closing arguments to voters.
For Harp, the move into Trump’s private dining room signals an increasingly central role in the president’s daily operations.
