Former Governor Chris Christie Is Considering Running For President AGAIN

Maybe Chris Christie should consider a different type of running.

During a recent political summit, former Republican Governor of New Jersey Chris Christie revealed he has not ruled out a Presidential run in 2028.

If Christie did decide to run it would mark his third time running for President.

The former Governor previously has two unsuccessful campaigns in 2016 and 2024.

The Hill reported more on Chrsitie’s comments and revealed why he may throw his hat in the race:

Former New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie (R) on Tuesday said he’s considering a third presidential run in 2028 as the Republican Party faces a bleak midterm outlook.

Christie, a onetime Trump ally who ran against him for the GOP nomination in 2024, questioned whether the party will decide it needs to change its approach or “the dominant wing” of the party, “if we do a lot of losing six weeks from today.”

“So, am I looking at it? Look, anybody who comes up here, anybody who comes up here and has ever run for president and not one and told you they’re not looking at it again is lying. …,” he said at the Granite State Summit on Responsible Gaming, per footage shared by WMUR 9’s Adam Sexton.

He added, “Once you go through the thought process of convincing yourself that you can be president, and then the next step that you should be president, that doesn’t leave your brain.”

“So, the way I look at this is, if I’m going to go back home to my wife and say, ‘I know you may not believe this, but third time is the charm,’ like, I better have a real theory,” the former governor continued. “And what she has said to me is, ‘Chris, I want to see the path.’”

Currently Vice President JD Vance leads all Republicans as the Republican Presidential Nominee.

USA Today provided the latest poll for both Republican and Democrats who are expected to make a presidential run:

According to the latest poll, among Democrats, Harris leads slightly with 17% support, followed closely by former Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg with 16%. California Gov. Gavin Newsom and Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez also remain close, with both garnering 14% support.

For Republicans, the picture appears clearer as Vance comfortably leads the field with 44% support. His closest challenger, Secretary of State Marco Rubio, came in second with 21%, followed by President Donald Trump’s son Donald Trump Jr. with 8%.

The poll surveyed 1,200 likely voters from Aug. 25 to Sept. 1, with a margin of error of 3.3 percentage points, according to YouGov/Bowling Green State University.
