Fox & Friends host Lawrence Jones made his intentions crystal clear Wednesday morning, using a segment about country superstar Ella Langley to publicly ask her out.
The lighthearted moment came as the Fox News panel discussed Langley’s smash hit “Choosin’ Texas,” which has dominated the charts and turned the Alabama-born singer into one of country music’s biggest stars.
Jones seized on the song’s heartbreak theme and made a direct pitch to Langley on live television.
“I will still say I remain hopeful that we will make some type of contact because she does not have to drink Jack & Coke by herself,” Jones said. “She does not.”
Co-host Ainsley Earhardt quickly joined in, pointing out Langley’s looks before Jones admitted he would happily take the singer out.
“I do because I feel bad she’s drinking Jack & Coke by herself,” he said. “She’s a beautiful woman, she seems wholesome, and we can fix that.”
Earhardt then took the matchmaking effort one step further and invited Langley directly onto the show.
“So, Ella, come to Fox & Friends,” she said. “We would love to interview you, and he would love to take you on a date.”
The on-air invitation was not Jones’ first attempt to get Langley’s attention.

During another segment last week, he again joked that the country singer should not have to drink alone.
“I just wish people would let her know she doesn’t have to drink the Jack by herself. She can find her a Texan as well. There are plenty of us and she can come right along and have the last laugh,” he said last week during another Langley-focused segment.

Earhardt immediately pressed him on whether he was serious.
“Are you saying you wanna take her out on a date and drink with her?” Earhardt asked.
“I would love to,” he replied. “I would love to. I love Jack & Coke, so that’s my drink of choice.”
Jones later doubled down on Instagram, joking that dating a Texan might be the perfect response to the heartbreak behind Langley’s hit song.
“I try to be Christ-like, but I sometimes do wanna get back at people. And I think Ella should get back at whoever this dude is that broke her heart, and what better way to do it than dating a Texan? I love Jack & Coke. I mean, kind of like the ultimate revenge plot.”

He then laid out an entire hypothetical date plan.
I’m not sure if we’d be a good match, but hey, we’ll just have a little fun. You know, if it doesn’t work, we can be friends. She can write a song. The children would be beautiful. I’ll take her on a BBQ date. I think she would appreciate a Texas BBQ. And I mean like a real BBQ when you go to the pitmaster and and they weigh the beef, little chicken, if she’s, like, healthy. She seems like very homey, wholesome. She can sing. She actually can sing. Who can say a superstar sang to them, like live? Not in a creepy way. Do you think she would like a good brunch? Maybe I’ll take her to Harlem for a real brunch. You think Ella can hang at a Harlem brunch? I think she could hang. She’s versatile.
Langley, who has millions of followers on Instagram, had not publicly responded to Jones as of Wednesday.
She has had plenty else to celebrate, with “Choosin’ Texas” becoming a massive crossover hit and spending weeks atop Billboard’s charts.
Jones, meanwhile, appears determined to make sure Langley gets the message.
