It may have happened in a red state but as usual it occurred in a Democrat controlled city.

The sister of the late country singer Dolly Parton, has claimed her vote in the Tennessee Gubernatorial race was flipped.

In a lengthy post on Facebook, Stella Parton wrote while voting at a polling station near Nashville, she noticed the voting machine changed her vote.

Parton wrote, “In Tennessee last week at the Hermitage Library where I voted, I had to go back three times and correct my vote.”

The Independent provided further quotes from Stella and revealed who she originally voted for:

Dolly Parton’s sister has claimed that a voting machine in Tennessee repeatedly changed her vote to Republican when she cast her ballot last week.

Stella Parton, younger sister of the late country music star, raised serious allegations of vote rigging at her voting center on the outskirts of Nashville in a Facebook post Wednesday.

Republican Senator Marsha Blackburn is running against Democrat and Memphis City Council member Jerri Green in Tennessee’s gubernatorial race. Blackburn has a 12-point lead over Green, according to recent polling.

“In Tennessee last week at the Hermitage Library where I voted, I had to go back three times and correct my vote because it kept defaulting to Marsha Blackburn,” Parton, 77, said after casting her ballot in early voting.

“I would never vote for her for anything. I’m putting this out here because when we vote, we take it seriously but we try not to hold up the long lines,” she continued. “Do it anyway. Don’t let them rig this election.”

“And we have people asking why we’re so angry,” Parton added. “I’m more frightened and frustrated than angry.”

Parton posted about the incident several times on her Facebook page, urging her followers to double-check their ballots.

Earlier this week, Stella Parton shared to Facebook that she experienced some issues while voting in Tennessee.

In recent months following the death of Dolly Parton, her estate has been in the midst of a major legal battle.

The New York Times had the full scoop:

A feud over Dolly Parton’s sprawling estate spilled into the open on Tuesday when her longtime manager accused her nephew and former security detail of threats, extortion and intimidation.

The accusations against the nephew, Bryan Seaver, were made public in a request for a restraining order. It offers a glimpse into a fight over Ms. Parton’s entertainment enterprise, which includes the Dollywood amusement park and her Songteller hotel and Life of Many Colors museum that is set to open this month.

Mr. Seaver, who delivered the news of Ms. Parton’s death from cancer in a filmed video last month, was fired as head of security for her properties last week. In the court papers filed on Tuesday, he is accused of mounting “an obscene, deliberate and escalating campaign of threats” to obtain money from the Parton estate.

In text messages included in the court papers, someone identified as Mr. Seaver issued a profane threat against at least one Dollywood business partner. He wrote that he would become “the hand of retribution for my entire family,” according to the complaint.

In a Sept. 3 exchange with a longtime lawyer of Ms. Parton’s, Mr. Seaver described himself as a “killer” and said that on the day his aunt died, he had sold $27 million in arms and ammunition to the Haitian police. “Let’s have dinner…” Mr. Seaver wrote, according to a copy of the email attached to the complaint.

In a text message sent early on Wednesday morning, Mr. Seaver denied threatening anyone associated with Ms. Parton’s estate and said that his messages had been twisted to portray him as an antagonist.

“This is a contrived out-of-context explanation of how this went down and it is being done in an effort to solidify me as some sort of opposition to her brand in her legacy,” Mr. Seaver wrote, “and that is not the case.”

He said that Ms. Parton would call him “killer.”

“It was a joke we used around her camp,” he said. “I was her ‘baby boy ninja.’”

The request for a restraining order was filed in Davidson County Chancery Court in Nashville by She’s Alive, a corporation responsible for overseeing Ms. Parton’s many business endeavors. It is run by Danny Nozell, her longtime manager.
