‘Republican’ Alaska Sen. Lisa Murkowski has fully taken off the mask.
On Tuesday, she announced that she will be endorsing Jonathan Kreiss-Tomskins — a Democrat — for Alaska governor.
Keep in mind that we are just one week away from the midterms.

Sen. Murkowski’s father, former Gov. Frank Murkowski, also backed the Democrat candidate in the important race.
Alaska News Source has more:
In a news release from Kreiss-Tomkins’ campaign emailed to reporters Tuesday afternoon, Murkowski commended the former Sitka state lawmaker’s commitment to bipartisanship. She encouraged “Alaskans of every political stripe” to consider backing him.
“Our future is too important to be hamstrung by partisan divisions,” Murkowski said. “Jonathan understands that governing requires listening to people with different perspectives and finding common ground to solve the problems all of us face.”
Alaska’s News Source reported the endorsement earlier Tuesday.
Polls show Kreiss-Tomkins with a lead over three Republicans in the four-way race to replace term-limited Republican Gov. Mike Dunleavy.
Kreiss-Tomkins has made bipartisan cooperation a centerpiece of his campaign. He represented a relatively conservative state House district in the Legislature for a decade. He’s pledged to fill his cabinet with Republicans and independents in addition to Democrats.
“I’m honored to have Senator Murkowski’s support,” Kreiss-Tomkins said in the news release. “Alaskans deserve a government that can work through disagreements and make progress on the issues that matter.”
Notably, Kreiss-Tomskins is the
only Democrat running in the state.
Three Republicans are running, with Bernadette Wilson earning the coveted endorsement of President Trump.
But, instead of backing Wilson or any of the Republicans on the ballot, Murkowski has chosen to give her support to a Democrat.
BREAKING: “Republican” Sen. Lisa Murkowski just ENDORSED Democrat Jonathan Kreiss-Tomkins for Governor of Alaska — stabbing President Trump’s endorsed candidate, Bernadette Wilson, in the back just 7 days before Election Day
THIS IS RIDICULOUS!!
There are THREE Republicans on the November ballot — Trump-endorsed Bernadette Wilson, Dave Bronson, and Treg Taylor — and Murkowski passed on ALL of them to back the lone Democrat in the race
Her father, former Gov. Frank Murkowski, also joined Democrat Tony Knowles and Bill Walker in endorsing Kreiss-Tomkins today
At this point, why does Lisa Murkowski even pretend to have an “R” next to her name?!
She’s representing a heavy Trump state like a Democrat. Unreal.
What a backstabber.
Unfortunately, Sen. Murkowski herself is not up for re-election until 2028.
Alaskans deserve better.
