War Secretary Pete Hegseth is scheduled to deliver his second “State of the Force” address on Wednesday at around 3:00 p.m..
HEGSETH TO ANNOUNCE FURTHER REDUCTION IN SENIOR LEADERSHIP POSITIONS
During the speech, Hegseth is expected to announce a 20% reduction of leadership positions given to admirals and generals, marking Hegseth’s latest move to align the U.S. military with President Donald Trump’s defense policy aims. In 2025, Hegseth had initially announced he was reducing general and flag officers by 10%.
Hegseth will deliver the address from Quantico, Virginia at Marine Corps Base Quantico.
