President Donald Trump will hold rallies in Iowa and Kansas over the last weekend before the midterm elections after the events were canceled just one day earlier, a source familiar with the matter confirmed to the Washington Examiner.

“The rallies are back on,” the source said. “President Trump loves his supporters, and in addition to nearly 20 tele-rallies, he will hold back-to-back rallies in Kansas and Iowa on Sunday.”

On Thursday, Trump campaigned in South Carolina to boost Sen. Darline Graham (R-SC) in her race against Democrat Annie Andrews while news spread that the Iowa and Kansas rallies were scrapped in favor of nearly two dozen tele-rallies.

While returning to Washington, Trump told the Washington Examiner that he was confident in Sen. Roger Marshall’s (R-KS) race against Democrat Adam Hamilton and that he no longer needed to travel to the Sunflower State.

“I think he’s doing well,” Trump said. “We’re going to do a tele-rally for him instead. He’s doing very well, actually.”

Hamilton leads Marshall by 2.6 percentage points, according to a RealClearPolitics poll average. The Cook Political Report rates the race as a toss-up, despite Trump winning the state in 2024 by more than 16 points over then-Vice President Kamala Harris.

The Republican National Committee also announced Thursday that Trump would hold 19 tele-rallies in the final weekend before Election Day.

“Voters across the country want to hear from President Trump before Election Day, and this 72-hour sprint will be a huge boost in the closing days,” RNC Chairman Joe Gruters said in a statement.

Trump and Vice President JD Vance have relentlessly traveled the nation to boost GOP turnout in traditional red-leaning states and help save the Senate from flipping to Democratic control. Election forecasters are predicting Democrats will flip control of the House.

The president is set to travel to Florida, where he will campaign for Rep. Byron Donalds (R-FL), who is running for governor, and other GOP candidates. Vance scrapped his plans to travel to Minnesota to hold a press conference on Friday. The vice president will also go to Rome, New York, on Monday to stump for Anthony Constantino, a bombastic candidate who finds himself in a competitive race despite running in a deep-red seat.

But sources said Trump remains dedicated to helping his fellow party members retain control of both chambers of Congress and remains the best party messenger for the GOP.

“No one works harder, fights harder, or loves the American people more than President Donald J. Trump,” said the source who confirmed the rallies are back on. “The rallies were rearranged for scheduling purposes to accommodate dozens of additional tele-rallies that were recently added to the president’s schedule.”

More states could be added.
