Trump Picks New Press Secretary

The job of White House press secretary has been offered to Katie Zacharia, a White House official confirmed to the Daily Signal Friday.

If she accepts, Zacharia will replace Karoline Leavitt, who left the position in August to spend more time with her two children.

Zacharia spent about three months as spokeswoman at the Department of Homeland Security in early 2026. She is general counsel at Fix California, an organization founded by Richard Grenell to promote conservatism in the state. She regularly appears on Fox News.

Zacharia also serves as senior communications advisor at Trump Media and Technology Group and Truth Social.
