Race relations arsonists like Ben Crump should be ostracized

breonna_taylor.webp

We are now over a decade past the beginning of the Black Lives Matter movement, and six years past its height in the summer of 2020. With the damage that movement has done to race relations, it is clear that race relations arsonists should be expelled from polite society, starting with Ben Crump.

The shooting of Corey Ruiz in Madison, Wisconsin, appears to be fairly straightforward. Video of the incident taken by bystanders shows Ruiz fighting four police officers who are trying to restrain him. The video shows officers loudly noting that Ruiz has a knife. One officer attempts to tase Ruiz, but the taser fails (as they often do), and another officer then fires multiple shots. You can see a police officer take the knife off of Ruiz’s body at the end of the video.

MINNEAPOLIS RESIDENTS ARE STILL PAYING THE PRICE FOR THE BLACK LIVES MATTER RIOTS

Madison Democrats have not approved body camera funding for their police officers, which prevented us from having even clearer footage of the incident, but we don’t really need it in this case. This was a justified shooting. And yet Ben Crump, the race-baiting vulture of a lawyer who pops up at nearly every police shooting, has decided otherwise. Crump told the media that “there will be no peace and business as usual in Madison, Wisconsin” until the police officers are charged.

That is Crump calling for protests and riots, just as we saw after police killed Michael Brown in Ferguson, Missouri (another justified shooting that Crump has lied about for years), and after police killed George Floyd in Minneapolis. Crump is calling for this even as the video shows that police officers tried nonlethal means to incapacitate Ruiz (the taser), even as Ruiz attempted to murder them with a knife.

GEORGE FLOYD’S ATTORNEY IS TRYING TO POLITICIZE A BLACK TEENAGER’S DEATH

The reason these protests and riots spawn every time there is a police shooting of a black man is because of people such as Crump, who will sprint to the cameras to declare that the shooting was racist, regardless of the details. Ben Crump and other activist racebaiters like him are actively sowing discord in communities to feed their racial agenda, demonizing police officers in the process.

Ben Crump should be treated as a joke, no different than a social media troll operating in the real world. Instead, he is treated by activists, Democrats, and liberal media as some authority on race and racism, allowing him to spread his noxious talking points and agitate for communities to pay the price for the violent actions of a criminal. Crump thrives off of dividing people based on racial lines, and activists similar to him should be shamed, mocked, and ostracized, because he would rather see police officers harmed and communities burned than pass on an opportunity to promote himself and his socially destructive ideology.
