NEW: Deep Blue State Flips RED on Boys in Girls’ Sports According to New Poll

Washington state has consistently parked itself solidly in the ‘blue’ paint when it comes to political ideology.

But new polling in advance of a ballot initiative lining up with conservative values on a key issue may reveal a change in that trend.

Instances of boys competing in girls’ sports have brought the progressive issue of ‘gender identification’ front and center in the news cycle over and over again.

And the people of Washington state may have had enough — in fact, they might be over it!

If these new stats hold up on Election Day, girls sports in Washington state might ONLY feature girls competing against girls, once again:

The ballot initiative coming up for vote in the November midterms will give the people of Washington a chance to directly call the shots on this issue.

None of this ‘vote for me and I PROMISE I’ll change things’ crap that constantly backfires.

And if it passes, as the polling indicates, biological sex in Washington public schools would be defined (…drumroll…) according to biology — according to this ABC News affiliate out of Seattle:

Initiative 638 will ask Washington voters whether students defined by the measure as “biologically male” should be prohibited from competing in certain K-12 athletic activities intended only for female students. The measure would also require a health care provider to verify a student’s biological sex before the student could participate in female-only athletics.

The measure defines biological sex based on a person’s sex at birth and says verification may be based on reproductive anatomy, genetic makeup or naturally occurring testosterone levels.

The measure would allow schools to offer coed athletic activities open to students regardless of sex.

Under current Washington Interscholastic Activities Association (WIAA) policy, students can participate in athletics consistent with their gender identity or the gender they most consistently express.

Supporters of I-638 argue the measure is needed to preserve separate athletic opportunities for female students.

Opponents argue the measure could create new privacy concerns for students.

Terah Ebie, president of Queer Community Network and the mother of a student-athlete in Southwest Washington, told KATU it is one of her primary concerns with I-638.

“As a parent, one of my biggest concerns is the invasion of my daughter’s privacy,” said Ebie.

Ebie argues the biological-sex verification requirement could result in greater scrutiny of girls’ bodies. The initiative itself does not specify that students must undergo a particular examination. It says health care providers must verify biological sex based on reproductive anatomy, genetic makeup or naturally produced testosterone levels. (Emphasis added.)

Am I the only one who finds it extremely ironic that those who are arguing IN FAVOR of biological males competing in girls’ sports are trying to play the “privacy” card?

I wonder if the President of the ‘Queer Community Network’ quoted in that article has seen this clip of a BOY competing in a girls’ wrestling match as shared by Riley Gaines, regarding her “privacy” concerns:

Did you notice where that BOYS arm and hand was placed on the female competitor’s body?

Another key voice in this fight, Jennifer Sey, is pointing out that a shift on this issue in Washington state could cause a ripple effect:

The group behind the ballot initiative as well as the new polling is reporting that the opposition is using intimidation in lieu of a true principled argument.

But they say they’re also seeing support for the initiative both on the street and in their new polling data, as reported by Fox News:

The hottest-button issue on the Nov. 3 ballot is Initiative 638, a measure that would ban biological boys from competing against girls in K-12 sports. And Wednesday, data suggested that it has a strong chance of passing.

Let’s Go Washington, the group behind the initiative, released numbers showing that 56% of 7,500 of likely Washington voters would vote “yes” on I-638, 24% would vote “no” and 22% were undecided. In terms of support by political affiliation, the poll showed that 73% of Republican respondents support the measure, along with 48% of Democrats and 52% of independents.

Keep in mind, this was not an independent poll, and the full methodology — including margin of error — has not been disclosed. But these data don’t suggest a photo finish on the initiative come November so much as a rout.

“We’re not surprised by the results, because it’s exactly what we’ve been hearing from people when we’re making calls, knocking on doors and talking to people at events,” Let’s Go Washington communications director Hallie Herzberg told OutKick. “The opposition is loud and they’re intimidating and they’re trying to bully people into being quiet, but we’ve seen and heard from people standing with us saying “enough is enough, high school girls are not the villains.”

So not only could Washington become the first blue state with enforced gender separation in school sports, but also the first where voters themselves put that policy into place. (Emphasis added.)

Even though this is far from an independently conducted poll, 56% of a state as BLUE as Washington willing to vote to END a key progressive agenda-item like this, is HUGE.

And ‘Let’s Go Washington’ is waging an all out media war on this issue leading up to the midterm vote.

Ella Frei, who identifies herself on X as “a girl standing up for sanity and truth”, originally shared that clip.

She didn’t just tell her story publicly on social media — she scheduled an event at a local public venue in order to instruct other girls in how to fight the insanity!

I could easily end this story right here; wrap it up with a nice tidy bow.

But I have one more takeaway that needs our attention.

Thankfully, the Vice President just made the point for me — but this is going to seem on the outside like a completely different story.

It is not.

And we really need to understand what the Left is doing here.

A lot of left-leaning accounts on X took Vance to task because he singled out the issue of boys in girls’ sports as one of two defining characteristics of socialists in America today.

But I think the reason they’re so mad… is because he masterfully exposed and called out the play before the snap.

The socialists in the US currently attempting to put DSA candidates in office aren’t relying purely — or even mostly — on hardcore socialist language to bring in those votes.

They’re talking about things that appeal to PROGRESSIVE IDEOLOGY and that will attract the vote of ILLEGALS who may vote anyway, despite their illegal status.

And boys playing in girls’ sports… may be the TOP progressive ideology currently “uniting the socialists” in the US, as Vance put it.

What does that mean?

It means Washington Initiative 638 might have consequences far beyond just the state of Washington.

Because if Washington switches lanes on this issue as a direct action by the PEOPLE of Washington… other states might follow.

For that reason, this is definitely a story to keep your eyes on leading up to the midterms.

The socialists haven’t won yet — not by a longshot.

And if this apparent shift in the electorate coming from the DEEP BLUE of Washington state is any indication, they may have overplayed their hand entirely too soon.
