A rogue, Biden-appointed judge has just delivered a huge blow to President Trump’s plans for restoring the East Potomac Golf Course.
On Monday, Judge Ana Reyes (who, by the way, was not even born in America) issued a preliminary injunction blocking President Trump from removing trees from the golf course site.
Take a look at the ruling:
NEW: Judge Ana Reyes issued a preliminary injunction barring further tree removal at D.C.'s East Potomac Golf Course, finding the Trump administration likely violated federal environmental law. Reyes invoked The Lorax, saying she speaks not for the trees, but for the rule of law.

Currently, the D.C. golf course is badly run-down and in dire need of upgrades.
President Trump wants to work his magic and turn it into a beautiful, tournament-ready public golf course for Americans to be proud of.
So, of course, this left-wing judge is doing everything in her power to keep it from happening.
Eric Daugherty broke down the details of Judge Reyes’ latest ruling further:
JUST IN: ONE ACTIVIST JUDGE Ana Reyes just hereby BLOCKED President Trump from removing or pruning a SINGLE tree at East Potomac Park for 47's overhaul of the dilapidated East Potomac Golf Course
You gotta be freaking kidding. WHAT A JOKE.
Look at the absurd micromanagement…

JUST IN: ONE ACTIVIST JUDGE Ana Reyes just hereby BLOCKED President Trump from removing or pruning a SINGLE tree at East Potomac Park for 47’s overhaul of the dilapidated East Potomac Golf Course
You gotta be freaking kidding. WHAT A JOKE.
Look at the absurd micromanagement in Judge Reyes’ order:
– Bans cutting, removing, or even “substantially pruning” any tree in East Potomac Park
– Requires 24-hour court notice and a sworn NPS declaration even for an “imminent threat to public safety”
– Mandates 10 business days’ written notice before closing any part of the golf course
Trump recently posted images of the dilapidation.
She also ordered Trump’s team to show cause by Wednesday at 10 AM on preserving internal records over the “Washington National Plan” — and snarkily ordered the DOJ to alert her if there is “any ambiguity in this Order”
THIS WOMAN IS IN WAY OVER HER HEAD. She should be kicked off this suit!
ALL OVER A TREE
Today’s ruling marks the latest escalation of an ongoing legal battle over the golf course renovation plans.
Judge Reyes’ had previously barred the administration from continuing work on the project until October 26th.
President Trump railed against her prior decision in a post on Truth Social, which you can read here:
The United States Department of Interior wants to take a terrible and very unsafe golf course, and make it into a great, safe, and prestigious golf course. They have an absolute right to do so. It’s as simple as that! The judge on the case is a crazed lunatic whose courthouse tapes will reveal, may be insane? The tapes have been blocked from usage by the judge. The random golfer bringing the ridiculous lawsuit has ZERO STANDING! The experts at “Interior” are allowed to do this First Class renovation “as of right.” They do not need an approval. Work is scheduled to begin IMMEDIATELY! The finished product will be World Class, and bring income and great prestige back to D.C. Thank you for your attention to this matter! President DJT
Now that the original deadline is here, Judge Reyes’ has decided to extend the block.
AP News has more on her decision:
“The Court earlier stated, ‘I am not the Lorax. I do not speak for the trees.’ The Court still does not speak for the trees. It speaks only for the rule of law,” Reyes wrote.
Reyes expressed astonishment that the government has asked her to “not to believe the sitting President” and disregard Trump’s statements about his plans for the golf course renovations.
“This started as a case about golf. That good walk spoiled. But it has become much more,” Reyes wrote. “It now forces the Court to reconcile assertions by President Donald J. Trump with the sworn testimony of multiple government employees and the argument of senior Department of Justice attorneys.”
On Oct. 18, Trump announced plans on social media to close the golf course for 15 months, starting Nov. 15, and redevelop the 106-year-old park and course despite a court challenge by the D.C. Preservation League and two golfers. A day later, Trump posted that the work would start immediately.
Reyes, who was nominated to the bench by Democratic President Joe Biden, previously ordered the administration to suspend work on the project until at least Oct. 26.
The plaintiffs challenging the project, DC Preservation League and two golfers, claim the work is inflicting irreversible damage. At a hearing, the judge excoriated the government after workers cut down at least 400 trees over a holiday weekend with little notice to the plaintiffs.
The course renovation project is part of the Republican president’s aggressive campaign to leave his personal imprint on Washington’s historic landscape. Those plans include construction of a huge ballroom at the White House, a massive arch and the creation of a National Garden of American Heroes in West Potomac Park. DC Preservation League is part of a coalition of organizations, including the Cultural Landscape Foundation and one D.C. resident, who have filed lawsuit challenging those plans.
Reyes rejected the administration’s request for her to recuse herself from the case. The government questioned her impartiality and accused her of engaging in “egregious” behavior from the bench during an emergency hearing in the case.
Likely, the Trump administration will appeal Judge Reyes’ ridiculous order.
For now, this is just further evidence of the left’s irrational hatred towards
everything President Trump does — whether it’s beautifying a golf course that had been left to rot or making America great again!
@EricLDaugh Now we’re looking up the law behind cutting trees because we’re so outraged trump can’t cut trees
