President Trump has given a new update on the $5,000 dividend he plans to give American citizens if Republicans retain the House and Senate in the upcoming midterms.

During his rally in Mississippi on Monday night, Trump shared the total cost of the checks will amount to $1 trillion.

He then added that nearly $22 trillion has poured into the United States in new foreign and domestic investments which will make the payout to Americans “easily handleable.”

The White House has shared that the “Trump Dividend” will be given to every American citizen who is an adult:

President Donald J. Trump unveiled the Trump Dividend — a historic $5,000 cash payment to every adult American citizen, made possible by the strength of the American economy under his leadership. The announcement is the latest proof that President Trump does what the so-called “experts” say cannot be done: he delivers for the American people.

“Because we’ve done so well, and because our country is making so much money, only I can make this promise to you, and here is my promise: if the Republicans win the House of Representatives and the United States Senate… I will issue a dividend to every adult citizen in the United States of America for $5,000.”

Earlier in the day Trump offered a $1 million reward to anyone who reports instances of voter fraud that lead to a conviction.

NBC News provided further details on Trump’s announcement:

President Donald Trump said Monday that he is offering $1 million to anyone who reports voter fraud in the upcoming election or past ones.

Trump did not specify where the funds for such payments would come from. He said on Truth Social that they would be paid on the “arrest and conviction of those that created the fraud.” A White House spokesperson did not offer more details about the offer, referring NBC News to Trump’s post….

Trump’s offer Monday is his latest effort to exert greater influence over the midterm elections. His administration has dedicated significant resources to searching for noncitizens on states’ voter rolls. The Justice Department sued California officials in an attempt to force them to segregate mail ballots it says went to potential noncitizens. Noncitizen voting is also rare, studies show.
