It was a “pawty” like no other for Capitol Hill’s favorite canine.
Sen. Jim Justice (R-WV) held an early birthday party for his beloved English bulldog, Babydog Justice, who turns 7 years old next month.
“Babydog’s birthday isn’t for a few more weeks, but we had to celebrate a little early with our friends on the Hill,” Justice said on X Wednesday.
“She sure does have a lot of folks who love her, and Cathy and I are grateful for every one of them.”

The arch was made of pink, brown, white, and cowprint balloons. Accent balloons included a pink cowgirl boot, a pink cowgirl hat, and a horseshoe, supporting the western theme.
Other decorations included a cutout of Babydog sitting on the senator’s desk and hanging on the door with the text “Happy Birthday!”
Babydog’s own X account posted about the celebration.
“Howdy to all my fur-iends who came to celebrate my early birthday pawty!” the post said.
Photos from the post show people lined up to pet Babydog and take selfies. One photo shows someone who brought her a takeout bag from the fast food chain Wendy’s.

Babydog will turn 7 years old on Oct. 15.
