Beth Dobbin represented Team GB at the Tokyo Olympics in 2021. Then came the winter of 2021–22, when she had the COVID vaccine.
And yet as predicted, they jump on the Covid bandwagon.
During 2022, her health deteriorated, her performance suffered, and she eventually lost feeling in her legs during the European Championships.
Fast-forward to today, and this once-elite athlete says she spends around 22 hours a day in bed with ME.
Absolutely heartbreaking. Nobody should have to lose their health, career and independence like this.
But here’s the question I want answered: what exactly happened during that period, and what do we know about the sequence of events?
She reportedly had back-to-back infections, and her symptoms developed and worsened over time.
The timing deserves proper attention, not assumptions or a dismissive “just get on with it.”
And given that this was during the pandemic era, people are entitled to ask about the full medical history, what investigations were done, what doctors concluded, and what remains unexplained.
