New details have emerged about the incident involving Ohio Democrat gubernatorial candidate Amy Acton, who is running against Republican Vivek Ramaswamy.
On Sunday, 38-year-old Patrick Havas was arrested at the Canfield Fair in Ohio, where Amy Acton was speaking.
Acton’s campaign claims that this individual “lunged” at her while armed with a gun.

Acton Campaign Statement on Incident at Canfield Fair
CANFIELD, OH– The Ohioans for Amy Acton campaign released the following statement following an incident involving Dr. Acton at the Canfield Fair:
“While attending the Canfield Fair, an armed individual lunged at Dr. Acton, injuring multiple people. Dr. Acton and Eric are grateful for the swift and decisive action of law enforcement and are praying for the recovery of those injured. This kind of violence has no place in Ohio. Dr. Acton will always stand up to the chaos, hate and vitriol that pits us against one another,” said Addie Bullock, Communications Director for the Acton campaign.

WFMJ: The suspect who tried to attack Amy Acton has been identified as Patrick Havas.
Havas reportedly had two guns, according to WFMJ.
“Officials on scene told WFMJ that the suspect, identified as Patrick Havas, entered the MCDP and pushed his way toward the…

The establishment media was quick to jump on this incident as an example of violence against the left.
For instance, The Cincinnati News called it an “assassination attempt” in a post on X:
BREAKING > There has been an assassination attempt against Amy Acton, candidate for Ohio governor. Several people have been injured.

Now, violence against anyone — Democrat or Republican — is never okay, and hopefully those the folks who got hurt on Sunday will be alright.
However, law enforcement has quite a different story to tell than what was initially being reported…
In truth, Patrick Havas
never “lunged” at Amy Acton.
Contrary to the way Acton’s campaign framed the incident, this was by no means an attempt to harm or assassinate the gubernatorial candidate.
Two elderly people were hurt when Havas knocked them over as he was pushing his way through the crowd to get a good view in the front.
In addition, although Havas did have two guns on him, he never drew them.
Under Ohio law, residents are allowed to concealed carry without needing a permit.
Both weapons were holstered at the time of his arrest.
Laura Loomer tore apart the fake news narrative:
This is fake news. The man has already been released by police with no bail.
He never even pulled his gun.
It’s not illegal to carry a gun in public in America.
There’s more chaos at Amy Acton’s house on a weekday when “mom’s been drinking” than there was at her event…

Drunk Amy doesn’t want people talking about how she appeared to be hammered at her own campaign event yesterday.
I’m calling on Amy Acton to take a daily breathalyzer test from here on out to the election.
Debate @VivekGRamaswamy
and don’t bring your own “water” to the debate.
Vodka looks like water.
Even the
New York Times is being forced to report on the facts:
Dr. Acton was giving a speech at the Mahoning County Democratic Party tent at a fair in Canfield, in the northeastern part of the state, when a man pushed through the crowd, knocking over two elderly audience members, according to the county sheriff, Jerry Greene, and two witnesses. The man did not draw his weapons, according to Sheriff Greene and the witnesses. Dr. Acton was not injured.
Two officers of the Ohio State Highway Patrol, part of Dr. Acton’s security detail, detained and handcuffed the man, according to Dr. Acton’s campaign and the sheriff.
The man was found to be carrying two pistols and a Taser in the shape of brass knuckles after he was detained, according to the sheriff and the Ohio State Highway Patrol. Ohio law allows residents to possess and carry concealed firearms without a permit…
Asked about the man’s intent, the sheriff said: “I think it was to ask her a couple of questions. He was just, you know, pretty aggressive about it.”
This whole thing is such a nothing-burger.
But, you know what isn’t?
Just a few hours before the fake “assassination attempt” against Amy Acton, she was exposed for appearing very drunk on stage at a campaign event.
I guess she’s taking a page out of the Kamala Harris playbook.
Watch for yourself:
LMAO! Vivek Ramaswamy’s opponent Amy Acton is going around doing campaign events in Ohio while TOTALLY sh*tfaced
Is Kamala Harris her consultant or something?
I have second-hand embarrassment from this
