Tucker Carlson has once again invited a guest on his show that has clear disdain towards the Trump administration.

On Wednesday night, Tucker Carlson released a new podcast episode that featured former Border Patrol official Greg Bovino.

Bovino in the interview didn’t have a lot of nice things to say about the Trump administration throughout his interview with Tucker Carlson.

And during one part it got straight dark when the former Border Patrol commander claimed the Trump administration wants him dead.

ABC News 4 provided further details on Bovino’s comments:

Former senior Border Patrol official Greg Bovino said he believes that the Trump administration would like to see him dead.

In a teaser for an interview with former Fox News host Tucker Carlson, he was asked whether the Trump administration wanted him to have security.

“Do I think they want me dead at this point? Bovino asked during the interview. “Yes.”

He also said he thought the administration wanted him silenced.

“When US Border Patrol commander Greg Bovino tried to follow through with Trump’s promises, he was fired,” the Tucker Carlson Network said in a post on X. “Now he says the administration would like to see him dead.”

Bovino retired from his position in the Trump administration earlier this year. In January 2026, he was removed from his position as Border Patrol Commander-at-Large and was reassigned to another position in California.

Following the deaths of protesters Renee Good and Alex Pretti in Minneapolis by federal officers, President Donald Trump appeared to distance himself from Bovino.

Please tell me there’s still some people out here that haven’t fallen for the lowest litmus test psyop of all time. It’s just pathetic at this point.

Later in the interview Bovino claimed he retired from his position after being accused of antisemitism:

Greg Bovino told Tucker Carlson that part of the reason he was fired was because the administration allegedly accused him of antisemitism and opened an investigation into it.

How on earth does every conversation have to tie back to the Jews? This is complete crazy town. pic.twitter.com/rVKuvUM8vX

It’s interesting that Bovino now tries to make these claims as he is considering a 2028 run for president.

News Nation reported more on Bovino exploring a possible presidential run:

Gregory Bovino, the former Border Patrol commander-at-large who was the face of the Trump administration’s crackdown on illegal immigration, has launched an exploratory committee to explore a presidential run in 2028, NewsNation has confirmed.

Bovino, who retired in March after nearly 30 years with the Border Patrol, told NewsNation on Monday that his possible White House run is exploratory “at the time” but said he will move ahead with a formal campaign “if it all comes together.”

Bovino’s exploratory committee launched the website “Bovino2028.com”, which features an image of Bovino wearing a controversial coat that has been described by some as a Nazi-era coat. Bovino previously told NewsNation that the Border Patrol issued the coat and that he has owned it for more than 25 years.

Photos of Bovino wearing the coat have gone viral amid growing criticism around Immigration and Customs Enforcement tactics and the Trump administration’s immigration crackdown. Speaking at the World Economic Forum in January, California Gov. Gavin Newsom described the coat as being “SS garb.”

The logo on the website reads, “House Bovino – Men Fight Back.”

“Following the Commander’s maximum effectiveness in quelling the foreign hordes that have subsumed our nation’s cities, both large and small, the American people witnessed what true leadership, powered by a warrior mindset, actually looks like as The Commander endeavored to restore order and national sovereignty,” the website reads under a headline of “A bold national strategy.”
