The victims of a catastrophic private jet crash in South Florida are beginning to be identified, revealing that a Texas technology entrepreneur, his wife, their two young children and a promising 20-year-old pilot were among nine people killed when their aircraft plunged into a residential area Sunday afternoon.
The devastating crash occurred shortly before 1 p.m. on November 1 in Palm Beach County, where a Learjet 60 traveling from Austin, Texas, to the Bahamas suddenly descended from the sky and erupted into flames near a mobile home community.
All nine people aboard the aircraft were killed, leaving investigators searching for answers as grieving relatives began sharing details about the passengers and crew.
The tragedy has taken an especially heartbreaking turn as new information emerges about the family traveling aboard the aircraft and the young aviator whose career was only beginning.
44-year-old technology entrepreneur Adam Robinson was traveling with his wife, Helen, and their two children. The family was accompanied by two close friends and a nanny. Both pilots also perished in the crash.
The aircraft’s captain was identified as 55-year-old Jeff Gregory, while the co-pilot was identified as 20-year-old Nathalia Gadelha Filgueiras, a young woman who had already accomplished a remarkable milestone in aviation.

Filgueiras earned her pilot’s license at just 17 years old while attending West Boca Raton Community High School. She completed her training through the school’s aviation academy, which provides students opportunities to pursue careers in aviation.
Her mother, Camila Corteleti, confirmed her daughter’s death to the New York Post and New York Times. During a 2023 television interview, Filgueiras joked about earning her wings before receiving her driver’s license.
“Some people think that it’s weird that I can fly planes, but I can’t drive a car,” she said at the time. “I think it’s funny.”
Meanwhile, federal investigators are examining troubling details surrounding the aircraft’s final moments, including reports of dangerous weather conditions shortly before the crash.
Tthe flight crew reported ice accumulating on the aircraft and moderate turbulence before the jet entered a devastating descent. Flight tracking information indicated the aircraft lost approximately 27,000 feet of altitude in roughly one minute before disappearing from radar.
Video captured the Learjet plunging nose-first toward the ground before a massive explosion sent flames and smoke into the air.
Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis visited the crash site Sunday and described the aircraft as looking “like a missile going down.”
The impact left a massive crater along Military Trail near 10th Avenue North and scattered wreckage across the surrounding area.
Approximately 600 residents of a nearby mobile home community faced displacement as emergency crews secured the scene and investigators began examining the debris. Despite the enormous destruction, authorities reported no deaths or injuries among people on the ground.
The National Transportation Safety Board is leading the investigation alongside the Federal Aviation Administration. Investigators are examining the weather conditions and aircraft’s final movements to determine what caused the deadly crash.
Authorities have not yet publicly confirmed the identities of all nine victims through an official identification process. The investigation remains ongoing.
