Unintended Consequence: Scavengers, aka salvors, driven by fast easy profit, now provide cover for action for IRGC recon elements (and target spotters) in similar speedboats.

No way can American attack planes and helos indiscriminately blast all of these Omani and Iranian salvage boats.

The floating containers are pure treasure, much of the booty is in sealed plastic, and many containers will float intact because so much of the internal box packaging is Styrofoam. This ensures the salvage operation will last for weeks or longer as containers float around.

And in any case, it’s better for the environment than massive oil spills.
