Another election, another Democratic doomsday that never came

Election Day has come and gone, and as usual, none of the Left’s doomsday prognostications or scenarios invoked by its hyperbolic hysteria and scaremongering nonsense came to fruition. After days, weeks, and months of warnings about President Donald Trump’s authoritarian regime stealing the election, it all turned out to be completely and utterly false. In short, it was the typical left-wing deceit and performative fear tactics they have used to manipulate voters for years now.

For Democrats, fear is arguably their most utilized and successful weapon. They don’t need a track record of being correct in their threats and warnings. All they need to do is make frivolous threats, create an anxious environment predicated on fear and trepidation, and allow nature to take its course among their supporters. Consider some of the threats and messaging Democrats engaged in during the weeks leading up to the election.

Sen. Mark Warner (D-VA) suggested Trump might try to interfere in the election by sending ICE officers or military troops to voting booths.

“I remain gravely concerned that the president or his allies may try to interfere in the election,” Warner said. “Whether it’s about Republicans federalizing the elections or his unwillingness to commit that he won’t send ICE or troops to the polls.

“What I’m most concerned about is a raw piece of intelligence that has not been validated, that is invented, be used as an excuse,” Warner added when elaborating on supposed interference methods. “A prerequisite to deploy troops or grabbing voting machines.”

Rep. Jason Crow (D-CO) hinted at other ominous actions against voters by the Trump administration.

“Donald Trump has proven he’ll ignore the Constitution and rule of law to hold on to power,” Crow said. “Our election system is safe and secure, but we’re looking at every contingency to protect the right to vote.”

“A desperate Trump is a dangerous Trump,” California Attorney General Rob Bonta warned earlier this year when discussing possible threats and tactics deployed by the Trump administration.

“Trump has talked about stealing the election, violating the election, perverting the election, over and over again,” said Sen. Chuck Schumer (D-NY) earlier this year. “And woe be us, and woe be anyone who believes in free elections, who doesn’t take that seriously. We are going to be prepared for anything that he throws at us.

“We know that the threats are broad. They evolve,” Schumer said. “And we’re preparing for them.”

Paul Lopez, a chief elections official in Denver, Colorado, discussed intimidation tactics and election interference.

“I know there’s been a lot of noise all over the place about people trying to intimidate you, and keep you from voting, and interfering with your right to vote,” said Lopez. “That is absolutely illegal to do so, to attempt to do so, even if it is the federal government trying to do it. It is absolutely illegal. You have a right to vote without intimidation and without fear.”

But fear is what fuels the Democrats, particularly baseless fears about their boogeyman, Trump. Yet, just as with nearly every other threat Democrats warned about, none of it came true. None of it ever does.
