U.N. delegates flee general assembly as Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu delivers address
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu scorched the United Nations in a speech in which critics of Israel were blasted as “cowards” and he leveled New York City’s mayor, a Muslim, Zohran Mamdani, for having failed to keep his pledge to detain him.
Dozens, perhaps hundreds, of general assembly participants fled the room as Netanyahu started to speak:

And he invited them to go.
“If there are any other moral cowards who haven’t yet left this hall, please do so now,” he mocked.
He charged those opposing his appearance, and his nation, with, “You’re phony human rights protesters!”
He cited the thousands of Iranians killed by their own government and the many Christians facing persecution: “Where were you? Did you organize mass rallies, hunger strikes? Did you protest outside the Iranian mission to the U.N.? Did you speak out?”
The United Nations has been beleaguered this week with addresses from Netanyahu as well as President Donald Trump, neither of whom appear to regard the institution as tolerable, much less beneficial.
Netenyahu mocked Iran, whose nuclear weapons aspirations largely have been decimated, as well as the terror programs funded by Iran, including Hezbollah, which suffered massive losses during an Israeli strike that involved a company supplying “beepers” to the terror group, which then exploded on command.

And he poked fun at the U.N.’s obstinate opposition to and criticism of Israel, which has been targeted by more negative U.N. “resolutions” than any terror organization.
“I want to ask you some questions. What genocidal regime gives a million polio vaccinations to the enemy’s population? What genocidal regime enables the distribution of 2 million tons of food into Gaza? That’s a tonne for every person. Accusing Israel of genocide is the greatest lie of the century.”
He also focused on the city’s Muslim mayor, “Mr. Mamdani, you tried to keep me out. You tried to silence me. Well, you can’t. No one silences the truth. … It’s no coincidence that you praise convicted supporters of Hamas and count people like Hasan Piker as allies—the same one who said the United States ‘deserved’ 9/11.”
He continued, ” The truth is simple: Israel did not commit genocide. Israel prevented a genocide. That’s exactly what your Hamas friends would have done to us if we hadn’t stopped them.”
A Fox News report said Netanyahu cited the “ultimate irony.”
“In defending itself, Israel is also defending many of the countries whose delegates just left this hall. In fact, I want you to know that many of the leaders even thanked us privately for taking out Iran’s nukes.
“It’s hard to imagine more mind blowing hypocrisy, but that’s exactly what it is,” said Netanyahu.
Several Hollywood personalities, believing their voice is important to Israel, demonstrated against Israel outside the U.N. building.
Netanyahu cited the seven fronts in which his nation has been at war in recent years: Hamas, Hezbollah, the Houthis, Iran, militias in Iraq, militias in Syria, Palestinian terrorists in Judea, Samaria.
He also thanked President Trump: “In this battle against the barbarians, we’ve had no greater partner than President Trump. I thank him. I thank him for his bold leadership. He boldly confronted an enormous danger to America, Israel and the world.”
