Jerry Newcombe via WND aptly said in his recent “FOR GOD AND COUNTRY” column: “Don’t trust the polls: Make YOUR poll count – and vote! Whatever the predictions say, do your part. Don’t surrender your voice before you have used it.” Without disagreeing with Newcombe, people tempted to sit this election out may need motivation beyond his points. Buckle up, and let the following facts and evidence supply the motivation to vote in a way you can share with your circle.
About two-thirds of Americans are homeowners. Much of theone-third who don’t own – renters, per surveys – want to own their own home someday. The Jacobin recently ran an article: “Socialize all Housing.” The leftist Jacobin describes itself like this: “Jacobin is a leading voice of the American left, offering socialist perspectives on politics, economics, and culture … [with] a web audience of over 3,000,000 a month.” Quoting (bold and italics added) the pro-socialist Jacobin: “People are right to want control over their homes and their futures. Socialized housing, not private ownership, can make that promise a reality for everyone.” “We advocate the abolition of private ownership of housing and a fully socialized housing system.”
The Jacobin article deliberately glosses over how “socialized housing” will be accomplished. That pro-socialist publication, which attracts millions of visitors, has openly advocated for taking the private property that some two-thirds of Americans own today.
The loss of private property is on the ballot in 2026, metaphorically written in invisible ink.
If you or a friend own a home and want to keep it, don’t sit this election out. Vote for those who will protect your private property rights.
For tradition-minded Christians and Jews, keep in mind that the Scriptures routinely support the right to private property – including “you shall not steal” (Exodus 20:15) – because property belongs to its owner. Acts 5:1-11 is a New Testament passage that supports private property. Jesus said not one jot or title of the law will pass away (Matthew 5:18), meaning the Ten Commandments have not been abolished.
Socialists and socialist candidates know that the majority of the U.S. is still Christian or Jewish. Socialists, Marxists and communists are routinely atheist. But some on the Left are willing to use Scripture in ways that may confuse enough people to gain support at the ballot box, in fundraising or volunteering.
There are no known polls that ask this question: Are you willing to give up your rights to private property to become a socialist society? Because that is what is being asked by those who are supporting socialist-leaning or openly Democratic Socialists of America (DSA) candidates.
For those who think that “redistributing the wealth of billionaires” is the answer to our nation’s debts and woes, think about what WND contributor Hanne Nabintu Herland revealed in her “The Billionaire’s World: How Marxism Serves the Elite.”
It isn’t just George Soros; it is also centibillionaires Warren Buffett (Berkshire Hathaway) and his longtime ally William “Bill” Gates III (Microsoft, BRK and other investments).
Michael Bloomberg is pouring some $80 million dollars into left-leaning PACs and Democratic candidates for the midterms.
George and Alex Soros reportedly have put $102 million this cycle into leftist PACs and candidates.
More Americans need to realize that leftist-supporting billionaires and their leftist media allies create the illusion in millions of minds that being pro-socialist, pro-Marxists or pro-communists is “fighting billionaire oligarchs.” Herland and others revealed that is not necessarily so. There are billionaires on the left and billionaires on the right. The Capital Research Center (CRC) and their Influence Watch platforms are useful resources for identifying and tracking leftist organizations and their sometimes “dark money” funding.
But there are more reasons to show up and cast votes against leftists. Democratic Socialists of America (DSA) New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani has said he can use certain regulatory tools to seize the property of landlords who fail to meet regulatory standards. Quoting (per Cato.org) Mamdani: “When necessary, we will take aggressive legal action to remove negligent owners and property managers. … And for buildings that have suffered chronic neglect, we will work to transfer ownership to responsible stewards. Stewards that include community land trusts, nonprofits … or even the tenants themselves.”
Like the Jacobin quotes shared earlier, that Mamdani quote is an open admission that socialists are willing to seize private property.
While trillion-dollar asset managers like BlackRock may get blamed for their rental holdings, it must be recalled that landlords are in several cases mom-and-pop operations. It isn’t likely that BlackRock, Vanguard or State Street that will lose their property to Mayor Mamdani. It is more likely the small-business, financially marginal landlordwho may ironically be providing more affordable housing who is at risk from socialist policies.
Labor union members, Hispanics, male blacks and Catholics in the 2024 election increasingly supported the MAGA wing of the Republican or Grand Old Party (GOP) under the leadership of President Donald J. Trump.
Let’s be clear. President Trump makes a big and easy target for leftists and leftist media. He at times steps on his own message. Some Christians and other groups may find supporting Trump or Trump-supporting Republican candidates uncomfortable. The Scriptures have several historic stories about some not particularly savory kings or leaders who benefited the Jewish people despite themselves being non-Jewish, or who were Jewish yet at times immoral in their own personal or leadership behavior. God can select surprising people to accomplish His Will. Other than Jesus and his mother, the Virgin Mary (Luke 1:26-56), “All have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.” (Romans 3:23)
Millions believe God spared Trump an assassin’s bullet. Do any Trump voters or those on the fence doubt that God can still use President Trump and Republicans to accomplish the Divine Will?
The so-called red-green alliance in Europe is being used to accomplish the goals of elitists and globalists who have little in common with the middle or working class on either side of the Atlantic. What left-leaning French President Emmanuel < href=”https://www.wnd.com/2026/10/riots-europe-could-happen-here/”>Macron called leftist riots in France are another reason to turn out and VOTE on Nov. 3.
Democratic Gov. Gavin Newsom was video recorded saying the Democratic Socialists are increasingly a mainstream force in the Democratic Party. Several current and ex-Democrats have warned against the increasingly socialist tilt of that party.
Let’s sum up and move to a close. Do you want to protect private property rights? Do you want to protect our society from open borders and the red-green alliance? Do you or someone you know dream of someday becoming a homeowner? Every vote for every Democrat risks doing the opposite of those goals.
While I get his point, I disagree with conservative Eric Erickson who recently argued that some Republicans may not merit your vote. The right to life, freedom of religion, freedom of speech are other reasons to vote against Democrats, even when certain Republican candidates are less than a shining star. The primaries are when general election candidates are chosen. That’s in the rearview mirror for this election cycle. This longtime political independent who believes in traditional Christian values and constitutionally limited government that protects the God-given rights of “We the People” believes many votes come down to “the lesser of two evils.”
Rick Manning, the former president of Americans for Limited Government, made the point succinctly, saying, “Socialism is theft.”
But if those reasons aren’t enough, let me give you one more. Protect the life or your loved ones and yourself. Professor R.J. Rummel documented that some 100 million people in countries like Russia, China, Vietnam and Cuba died at the hands of their own governments that were socialists, communists, fascists or Nazis (i.e., the German National Socialists Workers Party). Socialism and communism have never worked as advertised. It is often those who supported the leftists in Russia, China or other nations that were later imprisoned or killed by the governments that they fought for or voted to bring to power.
President Ronald Reagan and Donald Trump were both Democrats at one time. The black economic scholar Thomas Sowell is an ex-socialist. Sowell’s famous quote on health care applies in principle to housing, transportation and other issues: “It is amazing that people who think we cannot afford to pay for doctors, hospitals, and medication somehow think that we can afford to pay for doctors, hospitals, medication and a government bureaucracy to administer it.” As you think about the high cost of health care, remember that President Barack Obama supposedly fixed it. Do we want a similarly poor socialist-leftist fix for housing, groceries or gas?
Don’t take the chance of letting the Left gain more power in the U.S. Vote like your freedom, your property and your rights depend on it. Because they do.
