President Donald Trump and Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy are set to announce renovation plans for Washington Dulles International Airport at 3 p.m. on Wednesday.
The sweeping reconstruction plans are set to include new terminals and the elimination of the “people movers,” which are shuttles used to move travelers between terminals.

Trump has been eyeing this project for months. Last year, he called the Northern Virginia travel hub a “terrible airport.”
“We’re also going to rebuild Dulles Airport because it’s not a good airport,” he said at a December Cabinet meeting. “It should be a great airport. It’s not a good airport at all. It’s a terrible airport.”
