Keegan Allen said he went to the hospital after two masked robbers attacked him Thursday night outside an upscale West Hollywood grocery store, holding him at gunpoint and knifepoint before fleeing with his watch.
The “Pretty Little Liars” star, 37, described the attack on Instagram and warned followers that “West Hollywood is not safe anymore.”
Allen also questioned whether the surveillance technology deployed to help police catch criminals would deliver results, calling out Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass and California Gov. Gavin Newsom.
“Will update more soon. Let’s hope all these flock cameras that (Karen Bass), (Gavin Newsom) and everyone thinks will stop crime can find these very dangerous criminals. God bless,” Allen wrote.
The robbery unfolded in the parking lot of Laurel Supply. Security footage showed two masked men approaching Allen as he appeared to place items into the rear passenger side of his truck.
One repeatedly struck him in the head with a gun while the other held him at knifepoint. Allen said the attackers threatened to kill him over his watch.
“These two dudes hit me in the head and pointed a gun at me with a knife and then took off,” Allen said on Instagram shortly afterward. “They had masks on and took my watch. They took my watch. Dammit.”
The robbers left his bracelet and ring behind. Allen showed his bloodied arm as he recounted what happened.

In Instagram comments, the actor said he had gone to the hospital and would be “OK.” He also wrote that he was “def concussed,” though he did not share a confirmed diagnosis.
West Hollywood has 39 Flock Safety license plate readers and six installed live-video cameras out of 54 approved, according to a city report. The equipment is intended to help investigators identify suspects and solve crimes.
The cameras have also drawn criticism over concerns that surveillance data could be shared with U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement to track illegal immigrants.
Keegan Allen rose to prominence playing Toby Cavanaugh on “Pretty Little Liars” from 2010 to 2017. He later played Liam Walker on “Walker” from 2021 to 2024 and appeared in an episode of “The Rookie” this year.
