Kimberly Guilfoyle, 57, who previously served as a Fox News host and was engaged to President Donald Trump’s eldest son, allegedly fired off a blistering message about Bettina Anderson, the Palm Beach socialite who eventually married Don Jr.
The messages were revealed in an Oct. 8 report by The Daily Beast, offering a glimpse into the personal drama surrounding one of America’s most prominent Republican families.
“I was having a expletive] great time Saturday and we had a [expletive] amazing time when we got home Saturday night that’s a nonsense,” Guilfoyle allegedly texted Eric Deters, a former Republican congressional candidate from Kentucky.
“That’s his ex-wife’s friend. It’s all lies, but she’s a cloud chasing horror that plays the story in the daily mail to get attention.”
Deters confirmed to the outlet that the messages were referring to Bettina, now 39, who became romantically involved with Don Jr. while his relationship with Guilfoyle was unraveling.
The reported exchange appears to reference the media frenzy surrounding Don Jr.’s budding romance with the Florida socialite, which became public before his split from Guilfoyle was officially confirmed.
In September 2024, the Daily Mail published photographs reportedly showing Don Jr. kissing Bettina during an August brunch in Palm Beach.
Amid the growing controversy over Kimberly Guilfoyle’s alleged text messages, in which she reportedly asked a Trump donor to pay off her $100,000 American Express bill in exchange for access to top administration officials, one particularly revealing exchange shows how she reacted to reports of Donald Trump Jr. dating Bettina Anderson.
Guilfoyle appeared to dismiss the romance rumors as “all lies,” describing Bettina as Don Jr.’s ex-wife’s friend and accusing her of being a “clout-chasing horror” who planted stories in the Daily Mail for attention.
She seemingly believed Bettina was chasing publicity rather than stealing her man. And now Don Jr. and Bettina are married.

At the time, Guilfoyle and Don Jr. were still publicly considered engaged, leaving plenty of questions about when their relationship had actually ended.
Neither has publicly disclosed the exact timeline of their breakup.
The Daily Beast acknowledged that the alleged messages contained apparent spelling errors, suggesting that Guilfoyle’s reference to cloud chasing may have meant clout chasing.

The outlet also suggested that her mention of Don Jr.’s ex-wife could refer to Vanessa Trump, whom he divorced in 2018.
But the leaked exchange is just one piece of a much larger controversy involving Deters and the former Fox News star.
According to The Wall Street Journal, Deters provided a collection of approximately 150 pages containing screenshots, correspondence, social media material and other documents allegedly connected to Guilfoyle.
Deters has accused Guilfoyle of offering to leverage her connections to the Trump family to assist with his personal legal and tax troubles in exchange for financial assistance.
He also claimed Guilfoyle once requested that he cover a whopping $100,000 American Express bill.
However, Guilfoyle’s attorney, Jesse Binnall, has disputed the authenticity of the messages, casting doubt on the allegations circulating about his client.
Guilfoyle, a longtime Trump ally and prominent conservative fundraiser, has since moved on from her relationship with Don Jr. and now serves as the U.S. ambassador to Greece.
Don Jr., meanwhile, has married Bettina, marking a new chapter in his personal life.
