Democrats given congressional power by voters during the 2026 midterms have made clear their top agenda is to investigate and deliver “retribution” to the administration, Republican voters and supporters and anyone else they consider their enemy. “Lawyer up” already has been threatened.

But that’s not all. While President Donald Trump has worked to remove the racist “diversity, equity and inclusion” ideologies from American government, banning those preferences that gave jobs or government grants to less-qualified people solely because of their skin color, or heritage, and sexual beliefs, that could change.

In fact, the Democrats, chortling aloud over their midterms victories Tuesday that gave them majorities in the House and Senate, and literally absolute control in already extreme states like Colorado, immediately started boasting those set-aside programs will be returning.

Rep. Ro Khanna, was one of the first to launch into diatribes: “DEI is back!” he demanded. “Tonight, DEI is back as America celebrated diversity and inclusion.”

And Mehdi Hasan, a leftist commentator, shouted himself hoarse over the Democrats’ results.

“I just want to say to Donald Trump, and Mike Rogers, and Elon Musk, and JD Vance. Abdul Al-Sayed, a left-wing Muslim anti-Zionist, is heading to the United States Senate. And so, for all of you, I have two words. Two words: cry more,” he charged.

But an analysis from the Telegraph in London issued a warning that, “This is comfortable territory for Maga,” referring to the Make America Great Again ideology pursued so effectively in recent years by Trump.

“One charge often levelled at administration officials, such as Pete Hegseth, the defence secretary, is that they have nothing to talk about except the culture wars,” the warning said. “If Democrats insist they want to keep fighting this battle, like the Japanese holdouts who continued fighting the Second World War decades after it ended, they will lose as they did in 2024.”

Further, the Michigan senator-elect, Abdulrahman Mohamed El-Sayed thumbed his nose at those concerned with allegations his family has links to terror organizations, that he’s friends with a jihadist supporter of the Muslim Brotherhood who said America “deserved” 9/11.

El-Sayed bragged during a speech when the race results became apparent: “Up until right about now, you might have noticed I always say ‘inshallah’ or ‘God willing’ whenever the outcome of this race was mentioned. But today – tonight, we can turn that, inshallah, into an ‘alhamdulillah’ [praise be to God].”

The analysis explained that speaking Arabic after such a campaign, “seemed like a move designed to provoke his political opponents.”

Such provocations “risk handing their opponents the tools of their destruction at the moment of what seems total triumph,” the analysis warned.

Democrats, in fact, it said, “saw one blue wave and decided it was time for a beach party. In doing so, Democrats are making it easier for their opponents to caricature them.”

The analysis commented, “Delirious Democrats ran around taking selfies, and hugging their friends.”

While extremists know “they can raise their own profiles by stoking social media outrage,” there also are pitfalls.

Regarding El-Sayed, “His angry confrontation with James Matthews, a U.S. correspondent for Sky News, outside a Detroit voting center, was widely shared online on Wednesday.”

El-Sayed told Matthews, “I do not care what you think.” He then put his hands on Matthews’s shoulders and said: “You know how many votes I want to get in the U.K.? Zero. I am never running for office in the U.K.”

The analysis said, “It was an ugly moment for the new senator, who made foreign policy a cornerstone of his campaign and who now holds major sway over Mr. Trump’s international agenda.”

If Democrats, “choose to forget the warnings of 2024, and the lessons of 2026, they will have a rude awakening in 2028.”
