President Donald Trump announced Monday that Americans who help expose voter fraud could receive a massive $1 million reward, unveiling a new financial incentive aimed at identifying election-related crimes just days before voters head to the polls for the 2026 midterm elections.
The announcement marks another major step in Trump’s election integrity push, with the president promising a seven-figure payout to individuals whose information leads to the arrest and conviction of those responsible for fraudulent voting activity. The offer extends beyond the upcoming midterms and includes wrongdoing uncovered in previous elections.
Trump delivered the announcement in a post on Truth Social Monday afternoon, making clear that the reward would depend on a successful criminal prosecution.
“Anybody reporting Voter Fraud in the past Elections, or the upcoming 2026 Midterm Election, will be paid $1,000,000 upon the arrest and conviction of those that created the Fraud!” Trump wrote. “Thank you for your attention to this matter. President DONALD J. TRUMP”
The president subsequently reiterated the proposal while speaking with reporters before boarding Air Force One for a campaign trip to Mississippi, where he was scheduled to rally Republican voters ahead of the November 3 elections.
“I’m also going to be issuing a $1 million bonus or reward, or whatever you want to call it, for anybody that reports voter fraud, leading to the arrest and conviction of somebody,” Trump told reporters.
The timing is particularly significant, coming just eight days before the midterm elections that will determine control of the House and Senate. Republicans are fighting to maintain their congressional majorities as Democrats attempt to regain power during the second half of Trump’s presidency.
The president has repeatedly argued that stronger election safeguards are necessary to protect the voting process, particularly concerning mail-in ballots and allegations of illegal voting. Monday’s announcement follows another major anti-fraud initiative unveiled by the Trump administration less than a week earlier.
On October 20, Trump and Vice President JD Vance introduced the Fraud Whistleblower Incentive Program, a $25 million initiative designed to encourage Americans to report suspected fraud involving federal taxpayer dollars.
Under that separate program, the Justice Department outlined rewards ranging from $10,000 to $30,000 for qualifying tips, while Trump discussed potentially larger payments tied to the amount of fraud uncovered.
The administration also recognized conservative investigative journalist Nick Shirley for his work examining alleged misuse of taxpayer-funded programs in Minnesota. Unlike the earlier whistleblower initiative, the newly announced election-related reward specifically targets voter fraud and requires an arrest and conviction before payment.
For now, Trump’s announcement puts a potentially enormous financial incentive on the table as the country prepares for another consequential election, with the president signaling that allegations of fraudulent voting will remain a central focus of his administration.
