In a shameful betrayal of President Trump, Florida Rep. Maria Elvira Salazar just went on camera, openly criticizing his immigration policies.
On Thursday, she released a campaign ad reprimanding President Trump for cracking down on dangerous illegal aliens in our nation.
In the video, she accused his immigration efforts of going
“too far.”
At one point in the viral clip, she alleged that
“the same Hispanics who helped you get to the White House in 2024 feel betrayed today.”

I’m sorry, but giving illegal immigrants
“a dignified life in this promised land” is
not what over 77 million Americans voted for when they elected President Trump for his second term!
And, I’m willing to bet that it’s not what Florida voters wanted when they elected Rep. Salazar either…
Rather, President Trump promised to deport illegal aliens — and, that is exactly what his administration has been doing.
The numbers show that ICE has only been ramping up deportations in recent months.
In fact, in August, the men and women at ICE smashed another record for the number of illegal aliens arrested!

The United States Department of Homeland Security (DHS) released the following statement announcing that U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) arrested nearly 51,000 illegal aliens in August 2026, surpassing July’s total for the new record of highest number of illegal aliens arrested in a single month.
In August, ICE arrested 50,925 illegal aliens across the country. This surpasses the previous record held by July 2026, which saw 50,208 illegal aliens arrested, and marks the second consecutive month with over 50,000 illegal alien arrests. July surpassed June, which saw 43,900 number of illegal aliens arrested.
“The hard-working men and women of DHS continue to break records as they defend the homeland and protect the American people,” said DHS Secretary Markwayne Mullin. “For the third straight month, ICE set a new record for the highest number of illegal aliens arrested in a single month, nearly 51,000. This is promises made and promises kept in action. Under President Trump’s leadership, ICE is working around the clock every day to arrest and deport illegal aliens from American communities. If you are in the country illegally, LEAVE NOW. If not, we will find you, arrest you, and deport you.”
Since President Trump returned to office, more than 3 million illegal aliens have left the United States.
Now, that’s what we voted for!
Apparently, it’s not what Rep. Salazar wants, however.
The Florida lawmaker is getting absolutely blasted for her out-of-tune remarks on social media.

This isn’t the first time that Rep. Salazar has stood up for illegal immigrants, either.
Last year, she introduced a bill called the Dignity (a.k.a DIGNIDAD) Act, which would allow some illegal immigrants to remain and work in the United States.

But, this is the first time that Rep. Salazar has publicly admonished President Trump for fulfilling his campaign promise to deport illegal aliens.
You should know that President Trump has fully endorsed Rep. Salazar for the upcoming midterm elections — and yet, as soon as she got the chance, it appears that she has turned around and stabbed him in the back.

Trump endorsed Salazar in February. But the three-term lawmaker, whose district is dominated by Latino voters, has not thrown her full support behind him on immigration. Still, Eliott Rodriguez, her Democratic opponent in the November election, has said she has failed to stand up to the president.
Salazar’s seat is not considered among the core battlegrounds in November; Trump won the district — which was only nominally reshaped during Florida’s recent gerrymander — by more than 14 points in 2024, according to calculations from The Downballot. But her Democratic challenger has recently circulated internal polling showing the race as a tossup.
