A few weeks ago, HHS Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. launched ‘The Real Food Show’ — a new MAHA program that focuses on cooking healthy, affordable meals for under $5 per serving.
The first episode featured celebrity guest Chef Andrew Gruel making salmon cakes and salad, priced at $19.64 for four servings.
If you missed it, we covered the episode here:

On Thursday, CNN recreated the salmon cake meal and performed their own ‘price check’ to see how it lines up at the grocery store.
Somehow, CNN’s Tom Foreman ended up spending a total of $70.54 for the same ingredients featured in RFK Jr.’s cooking show.
Now, you might be asking: how is that possible?
Well, Foreman priced in the full cost of every single item he bought at the store — not just the portion that was used for this single meal.
For instance, he counted the cost of a whole bottle of avocado mayonnaise, when the recipe only required a few tablespoons.
Watch the original segment for yourself here:
For reference, here’s a closer look at CNN’s comparison between RFK Jr.’s price breakdown and theirs:
Notice how CNN even included the $0.10 bag charged by the store!
This is incredibly dishonest reporting, to say the least.
Maybe Tom Foreman never cooks at home so he doesn’t know this but, you aren’t supposed to buy a bottle of mayonnaise and throw it out after just one meal!
It goes in your pantry for future use in many more dishes.
In response, RFK Jr. delivered a brutal reality check to CNN.

RFK Jr. isn’t the only one hitting back at CNN for this ridiculous segment.

This is low — even for CNN.
Does the fake news really have nothing better to report on?
