Radical Leftist Teen Who Devised Terror Plot Against ICE Agents Gets Incredibly Light Sentence

A radical left-wing extremist in Oregon just got a mere slap on the wrist as punishment for devising a horrific terror plot targeting ICE agents.

Then-18-year-old Rayden Coleman was arrested in February after allegedly planning to bomb ICE agents — then, collect their heads as trophies.

But on Wednesday, Coleman accepted a plea deal sentencing him to just 75 days in jail, followed by 3 years of supervised probation.

That sentence was handed down by Judge Michael T. Clarke.

The Post Millennial reporter Katie Daviscourt broke down the details:

Breaking: Oregon teen who devised an intricate terror plot to behead and bomb ICE agents at the Portland ICE facility was given a sweetheart plea deal.

Rayden Tanner Coleman, 19, has been sentenced to just three years of supervised probation.

Coleman was initially charged with 15 counts of serious offenses, including domestic terrorism. He pleaded guilty to two counts of unlawful manufacture of a destructive device.

Coleman’s terror plot included following agents home, severing their heads, and taking them as trophies.

Investigators found him in possession of Molotov cocktails, surveillance equipment, tactical axes, military knives, and shovels.

Bear in mind that Coleman was originally arrested after friends of his reported him for making repeated statements about bombing ICE agents.

In the investigation that ensued, law enforcement also found a disturbing manifesto and countless online messages in which he discussed his plans to terrorize immigration authorities.

Fox 12 Oregon reported further:

Witnesses told investigators that Coleman planned to form a group called the “Cascadia Rangers” and aimed to recruit members from the Warm Springs Reservation, according to police. He reportedly told people that launching an attack on federal officers would show his seriousness and inspire others to join his cause.

Police said Coleman sent online messages discussing plans to get guns and target federal agents. Investigators also said they found he had shared a link to a restricted-access digital document he described as a manifesto outlining his beliefs and plans.

During the investigation, associates admitted to helping Coleman collect empty glass bottles. Coleman later allegedly told investigators he filled the bottles with sand to practice throwing them accurately before converting them into incendiary devices. When officers searched Coleman’s car during his arrest, they found glass bottles filled with sand in the trunk alongside surveillance equipment, according to police.

In interviews with police, Coleman allegedly admitted to planning attacks on federal officers and revealed he was buying an AR-style rifle from a local dealer through monthly installments, police said. Coleman allegedly acknowledged making statements about killing officers but claimed some of the comments were made in anger.

In his plea petition, Coleman wrote, “I unlawfully and knowingly assembled, produced, or manufactured two destructive devices.”

As part of his probation, Coleman must continue mental health treatment, participate in evaluations, and forfeit all seized weapons. He must also pay $550 in court fines and fees.

Is this what justice looks like? Letting a would-be terrorist off the hook?

Needless to say, this case sets a horrible precedent…

Take a look at a few responses from folks on X:

To say the least, probation is insufficient punishment for terror plots. https://t.co/P3ZSJVqYUq

He will be right back at his terroristic ways. Absolutely nutty how far the judicial system has fallen.

What are your thoughts?

Is this a fair sentence?
