President Trump laid it all out on the table for the world leaders in New York this morning.
In no uncertain terms, he directly threatened Iran with nuclear destruction.
Still leaving room for striking a deal with the Islamic regime, he nevertheless put the world on notice that a very different kind of ‘strike’ was among his short list of options.
In lieu of a situation in which Iran is no longer a threat, President Trump is considering ‘annihilation’ as a valid course of action to deal with Iran.
He appeared to stare directly at the Iranian UN delegation — even while threatening them with a ‘quick’ destruction — right in front of the world’s leaders.

It’s hard to emphasis a threat more than couching it in eternal terms, like pondering whether or not to “drive them into hell”.
As if to underscore the gravity of the threat, the White House Rapid Response account on X quickly shared the same clip.
It just so happens that this particular video happens to be one of the only clips of the President’s address that actually shows the Iranian delegation listening as he threatens them — just before they stormed out of the assembly:
He also cautioned the regime against betting on a possible midterm Republican defeat in Congress to negate his resolve, according to this coverage from Reuters:
The impact President Trump’s threat might have on the situation between the US and Iran might be hard to judge so soon.
The fact that the Iranians — along with many other national delegates — walked out during his speech was basically a given, regardless of the specifics of his words.
But even immediately after, the President indicated while sitting before the press with UK’s Prime Minister Andy Burnham that talks were EVEN TODAY happening between the US and Iran:

While I’m fairly certain that man never rubbed shoulders with Trump, that was the tone the President struck concerning Iran, as reported by Fox News:
The President also spent a good amount of time going over recent history between him and the Islamic regime of Iran.
He pointed out very clearly how many times they made mistakes in refusing to make a deal at different points over the last couple of years, and highlighting how it cost them dearly each time.

On one hand, the pressure applied by President Trump during his speech in the form of a nuclear threat isn’t really all that surprising.
It has been an unspoken possibility in the minds of most people as the conflict has played out.
And many of his detractors will still claim he’s all talk; nothing but Trump’s empty bravado.
Regardless of where anyone else stands on the issue, he has been very consistent and clear in promising that he has no intention of letting the Iranian threat fester beyond his term.
With that very real possibility now articulated by President Trump himself before the world’s leaders, the only real question seems to be how Iran will respond.
