NYT proving ‘rock bottom actually has a basement’ with latest antisemitic speech: Joe Concha

Washington Examiner columnist Joe Concha slammed the New York Times for an “editing error” where it stated that Israelis “view themselves” as Oct. 7 victims.

Concha questioned why the New York Times is “putting into question whether Jews are the victims of Oct. 7? I mean, that’s 31 flavors of delusion,” he said on Fox News’s Hannity on Thursday.

The article, published Sept. 14, said, “But Israelis still largely view themselves as the victims of Oct. 7.”

The line called into question why Israeli victimhood was framed as a matter of perception.


The New York Times posted on X Wednesday, announcing it had removed the sentence.

“Because of an editing error, an earlier version of this article included a statement that was intended to convey Israelis’ perception of the government’s military response to the Oct. 7 terror attack in relation to the attacks, but inadvertently suggested that Israelis’ experience as terror victims was a matter of perception. It has been removed from the article,” the editor’s note said.

“Antisemitism is completely and totally going off the charts,” Concha said.

“The New York Times, by the way, once again, is proving that rock bottom actually has a basement. What happened on Oct. 7 was the most horrific atrocity we have seen against Jews since the Holocaust,” Concha said.

“It’s a paper not even worth lining your average kitty litter with at this point.”
