Speaking of White mass shooters, the shooting at an elementary school in Bend, Oregon fits the profile most normies think of when they hear about a mass shooting: A mentally disturbed, likely heavily medicated, young White guy shoots up a bunch of people because he is off his rocker. Of course virtually all mass shootings are black on black but the media pretty much ignores those as much as possible in favor of the very rare White mass shooter.
The shooter was named Griffin J. John II, looks like a prototypical mass shooter and killed 3 kids and a teacher before a White guy and parent named Kaylub Giamanco saw him entering the school (where two of his kids are students) and went after him, putting him down.
That guy looked like a loony mass shooter waiting to happen, I would be surprised if he wasn’t on SSRIs and/or “transitioning”.
There are an awful lot of very broken young people in this country and no one is really talking about it. Fortunately Kaylub Giamanco is a licensed concealed carry holder, otherwise this being Oregon he probably would have been arrested for saving the lives of those children. Also of note, Griffin was using a pump shotgun, hardly an “assault weapon”, so that isn’t getting much coverage.
Anyway, this is one of those “good guys with a gun” stories the media hates and that happens a lot more often than they would ever admit so of course NPR being NPR they decided to do a piece with some “experts” to explain why you shouldn’t try to stop a guy shooting little kids.
You can read the whole thing if you want, it is incredibly dumb, but I will just pick out a few choice quotes….
Gee whiz, why is it rare for someone at a school to use a firearm to stop a shooter? Could it be because no one at the school other than “school resource officers” are legally allowed to have a firearm? They present this as a gotcha but in reality they are at least partially making the argument to have armed personnel at school to make them less of a soft target.
Defensive uses of a firearm are extremely common in America but you wouldn’t know that from the media because they hate talking about it. According to Grok….
Even on the low end of 60,000 that exceeds by nearly triple the total number of deaths from firearms (not including suicide of course) each year.
Moving on…
Apparently the cops in Uvalde went to the ironically named “the Advanced Law Enforcement Rapid Response Training Center” because their response was anything but “rapid”.
As an adult, as a man, I can’t imagine running away when some loon is shooting elementary school kids with a shotgun. The shooter was tackled at some point by a teacher that delayed him and gave the good guy with a gun time to eliminate the threat. Maybe there weren’t any guys at the school but any man that would run away when someone is shooting kids isn’t much of a man.
This reminds me of the recent story out of Europe where White women are told to put their fingers down their throats in order to induce vomiting to prevent being raped. That is the sort of advice you give when you have completely given up on the idea of protecting civilians and punishing criminals. Sorry ladies we won’t stop a potential rapist but maybe if you puke on him it will stop him? Or maybe it will infuriate him and you not only get raped but also murdered. Genius!
To close, a most NPR of statements….
Somehow NPR turns this into talking about blacks buying guns and distrusting the police. Heaven forbid we reduce or oversimplify people shooting innocents by talking about good-guy vs bad-guy. I love that this dumb broad does “quote-unquote” regarding law abiding gun owners.
I am old enough to remember when NPR was liberal but still interesting. Those days are long gone as they descend deeper each day into self-parody.

Here’s what experts say about the civilian intervention in the Bend school shooting
