Rep. Ilhan Omar resurfaced on social media Tuesday night with a fresh appeal for campaign cash, just days after federal agents searched her Washington, D.C., home as part of an investigation into possible immigration fraud.

The Minnesota Democrat posted a roughly minute-long video filmed from the back seat of a vehicle, thanking supporters for their donations and requesting additional contributions as she prepares to return to the campaign trail.

Omar, a prominent member of the progressive Squad, accused President Donald Trump’s administration of attempting to intimidate her ahead of the November midterm elections.

She thanked supporters for helping her “fight Trump and his administration for trying to intimidate me and so many other people right before the midterm elections.”

The video comes after Homeland Security Investigations agents searched Omar’s residence Oct. 12 as part of a federal investigation examining allegations involving her immigration history.

According to the New York Post, investigators seized several personal items during the search, including her cellphone, computers, notebooks and passport.

Omar has repeatedly denied wrongdoing, and no criminal conviction has established that she committed immigration fraud.

Despite the ongoing investigation, the congresswoman insisted she has no intention of abandoning her political activities.

“We know that they’re running scared, we’re not going to be intimidated, we’re not going to be silenced, we’re not going to be scared,” Omar declared in the video.

She also pledged to resume campaigning with supporters while continuing to criticize the administration.

“I’ll be out there campaigning alongside all of you and making sure that we beat back all of this and that we win in the midterms — win the House, win the Senate and hold this administration accountable,” she continued.

But Ilhan Omar‘s latest message was not limited to defending herself against the federal investigation.

The congresswoman also made a direct fundraising pitch, asking supporters to contribute relatively small amounts to help cover what she described as mounting expenses.

“Thank you so much again and please continue to support us,” Omar said.

“It is going to be a very expensive and challenging time and so we appreciate whether you’re able to send $5, $10, $20,” she added.

She concluded her appeal with a brief “Thank you.”

The request comes amid renewed scrutiny of longstanding allegations involving Omar’s immigration paperwork and her previous marriage to Ahmed Nur Said Elmi.

Federal investigators are reportedly examining whether immigration laws were violated, although the allegations surrounding Omar’s marital history remain unproven.

Reports have also raised questions about whether the investigation could eventually result in legal proceedings challenging her citizenship.

Such an extraordinary outcome would require substantial evidence and additional court proceedings. A federal investigation alone does not establish grounds for deportation.

Omar’s legal team has disputed the investigation and challenged the government’s handling of the search of her residence.

Meanwhile, the congresswoman has framed the federal scrutiny as an effort to silence a political opponent during a closely watched election season.

Her latest video makes clear that she intends to continue campaigning while soliciting financial support from her political base.

With federal investigators examining her immigration history and the midterms approaching, Omar now faces two battles unfolding simultaneously, one involving her legal defense and another involving the political future of her party.
