Former Vice President Kamala Harris urged Wisconsin women to “turn anger into action” at a rally for Democratic gubernatorial nominee David Crowley, with just over a week until Election Day.
Harris campaigned alongside Crowley, the Milwaukee County executive, in Milwaukee on Monday, eight days before the Nov. 3 election. The appearance was part of a multistate campaign swing that has included stops in Georgia, Mississippi, Nevada, New Hampshire, and Wisconsin.
Speaking at a Women for Crowley event hosted by the Wisconsin Democratic Party, Harris acknowledged the frustration many voters have felt over the past year and a half, urging them to channel those emotions into action.
“We are now in a moment to turn anger into action,” Harris said.
“For the last year and a half, I know many of us have been going through a whole lot of emotion, anger, sadness, disappointment, frustration, depression, all kinds of emotions,” she continued. “People have been feeling like I can’t do anything about this, and I know how much pain people are in.”
“I know how it is creating so much fear among so many communities of people, and I’m so upset because I can’t do anything about it,” she said.
While not naming President Donald Trump directly, Harris criticized his administration, accusing it of corruption, incompetence, and brutality.
“We are seeing such brutality come out of the highest office in the land and the cronies around him,” Harris said, describing the administration as “the most callous and corrupt and incompetent presidential administration in the history of America.”
She also argued that the administration had distorted the meaning of strength, saying, “The measure of the strength of a leader is based on who you lift up, not who you beat down.”
Taking a swipe at Crowley’s opponent, Rep. Tom Tiffany (R-WI), Harris criticized Tiffany’s support for Trump’s efforts to overturn the 2020 election, declaring, “By the way, we won.”
“Yes, you can call me former Madam Vice President,” Harris quipped. “We won that election.”

Harris’s appearances on the campaign trail come after she lost the 2024 election to Trump. She has not ruled out a 2028 presidential campaign.
“I honestly go back and forth,” Harris told CNN. “There’s so many factors.”
