Aside from Katie Zacharia’s brief stint in the role, the White House has been without a press secretary since Karoline Leavitt’s departure roughly ten weeks ago.
But it may not remain vacant for long…
President Trump just announced that he has offered the role to UFC chief Dana White.
In a post on Truth Social, he begged Dana to take the job and also to bring along multiple UFC fighters as his assistants!
Read his full post here:
Full text:
I am pleased to announce that the Great Dana White, a violent Fighter and Warrior, has been offered the job of Press Secretary of the United States. I have requested that he bring with him assistants, even though some are not from our Country, of Islam Makhachev, Khabib Nurmagomedov, Justin Gaethje, Daniel Cormier, Amanda Nunes, and Kayla Harris. We need these people to defend us against the Lunatic Left. Dana will be a Press Secretary like none other. Dana, please take the job! President DONALD J. TRUMP
Dana White has already replied to President Trump’s offer.
In an Instagram post, White posted a picture of himself behind the podium with the caption,
“On to the next chapter.”

“On to the next chapter.”
Trump had offered him the job earlier, suggesting he bring Khabib, Islam Makhachev, Justin Gaethje, Daniel Cormier and several other UFC fighters along as assistants.
Now Dana is playing along.
Washington’s press briefings would never be the same.
Now, it’s unclear whether this is a joke.
President Trump’s original post could certainly be interpreted as tongue-in-cheek, meant to troll the lamestream media…
But, on the other hand, Dana White would certainly be the right choice to put the fake news in its place!
Here’s a glimpse at how he might handle the media:
NEW: President Trump says he offered the Press Secretary role to Dana White and asked him to bring his "assistants" with him.

President Trump and Dana White also have a close relationship that goes back a long way.
CNBC noted:
The president and White have a longstanding friendship. During Trump’s first campaign in 2016, White praised the then-Republican nominee and called him a “fighter.”
“Nobody took us seriously. Nobody. Except Donald Trump. Donald was the first guy to recognize the potential we saw in the UFC and encouraged us to build our business,” White said.
And for his 80th birthday in June, President Trump hosted a UFC match — dubbed UFC Freedom 250 — on the White House’s South Lawn.
The possibility of Dana White becoming White House press secretary is stirring quite a buzz online.
Take a look at some of these responses:

@RapidResponse47 Kinda hope this isn’t trolling!
