JUST IN: President Trump Gives Netanyahu ‘Complete and Total Endorsement’ in High-Stakes Israel Election

President Trump just made a major move in Israel’s high-stakes national election.

With Israelis set to vote in just nine days, Trump gave Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu his “Complete and Total Endorsement” for reelection.

The endorsement was not a routine campaign courtesy. Trump tied Netanyahu’s leadership directly to the fight against Iran and warned that the consequences of choosing another leader could extend far beyond Israel.

The news broke Sunday morning, putting America’s most powerful political figure squarely behind Netanyahu at a decisive moment in the race.

Trump praised Netanyahu as a “Great Warrior Prime Minister” and an even greater partner in confronting the Islamic Republic of Iran.

He said Iran had been systematically weakened militarily and financially, but warned that the job might not be finished if the regime refuses to change course.

Then came the most consequential part of the endorsement.

Trump argued that any Israeli leader other than Netanyahu would leave the United States to handle the Iranian threat without the partner he trusts — a prospect he said he was not inclined to accept.

He also described Netanyahu as strong, brave and brilliant under extraordinary pressure, saying that while ordinary leaders might have wilted, Netanyahu became stronger.

Netanyahu quickly answered with a message of gratitude and a 35-second campaign video built around the two leaders’ alliance.

“Together we will complete the mission,” Netanyahu said in his response.

The Associated Press reports that the October 27 vote will be Israel’s first national election since the Hamas attack of October 7, 2023. The outlet notes that Trump’s endorsement had been conspicuously absent for months, even as Netanyahu continued presenting his close relationship with the president as a central reason for voters to keep him in power.

The late endorsement is especially significant because the two leaders have not moved in lockstep on every recent decision.

Trump criticized an Israeli strike on a major Iranian gas field, expressed frustration with fighting involving Hezbollah in Lebanon and pressed for ceasefire terms that Netanyahu resisted in Gaza. Earlier this month, Trump also deflected a question about endorsing Netanyahu.

Sunday’s statement erased any remaining ambiguity.

Netanyahu published the full endorsement letter for Israeli voters, putting Trump’s own words at the center of the closing days of the campaign.

Trump has endorsed Netanyahu in previous campaigns, and last year he urged Israel’s president to pardon the prime minister in his corruption case.

But this endorsement lands after a period of visible tension and at the closing stage of what is expected to be a tight election. That makes it more than a symbolic nod between longtime allies.

Trump is telling Israeli voters that Netanyahu is the partner he wants beside the United States for the next phase of the fight against Iran — and that Washington’s strategic calculations could change if Israel chooses someone else.

With October 27 rapidly approaching, Netanyahu now has the endorsement he had been waiting for — and one of the strongest arguments available to him in the campaign’s final stretch.
