JUST IN: Democrat Mayor Under Criminal Investigation Over “Inappropriate” Text Messages to Staffer

Just six months into her term, Democrat Mayor Kaohly Her of St. Paul, Minnesota is under investigation for sexual harassment.

She stands accused of sending some highly inappropriate text messages to staffers, including one about getting a “good weinering.”

The complaint was filed by St. Paul’s Chief of Police Axel Henry.

The New York Post detailed the accusations further:

In one disturbing chain of texts, Her, 53, wished a staffer “Happy Weiner Wednesday,” according to the complaint obtained by KSTP.

“Wish I was having a [hotdog emoji] with you all on 6 today,” the text continued.

The mayor then allegedly sent an altered image of a baby wrapped in a blanket, along with the message, “When she wraps you up in her blanket after you gave her a good weinering.”

The face of the baby in the altered image was redacted in the complaint; however, the St. Paul Pioneer Press reported that it was the face of an officer who had previously worked as part of her security team.

While the term “weiner” can refer to hot dogs, it also has sexual connotations.

If Mayor Her’s name sounds familiar, it’s probably because of a video of her that went viral for all the wrong reasons several months ago.

Originally from Laos, the former Minnesota State Representative once referred to herself as an “illegal in this country” on the House floor before being elected as the first female Mayor of St. Paul.

This also isn’t the first accusation of inappropriate behavior that the mayor has faced.

NBC News noted:

The mayor was hit with a restraining order petition last year by a former friend who claimed she had sent her “inappropriate or sexualized questions” and had gotten her removed from the National Kidney Foundation Board.

The petition was denied by Ramsey County District Court Referee Elizabeth Clysdale who wrote that the text messages filed showed the mayor had not threatened her former friend and that Her’s husband had tried to help resolve the issue.

Clysdale also wrote there was no proof that the mayor had played a role in the woman’s removal from the National Kidney Foundation Board, the newspaper reported.
