Iran has signaled they have no plans to surrender anytime soon.

On Saturday afternoon, Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian released a new warning to the United States.

In a post on X, Pezeshkian claimed the United States has been targeting civilian infrastructure in Iran.

Pezeshkian further warned that Iran will not be bullied into submission and does not plan to surrender.

CNBC reported more on the Iranian President’s statement:

Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian said his country will not surrender, adding that it has resisted aggression from the U.S. and Israel.

“Iran has successfully stood against Israel and the U.S.,” Pezeshkian said late Friday as he addressed a gathering of Indian religious leaders in New Delhi. “Since we are seeking truth and justice, we will not yield in front of bullying arrogance.”

Pezeshkian’s comments ahead of the BRICS Summit in India over the weekend came on the heels of U.S. President Donald Trump’s assertion that Iran would have wiped out Israel and the Middle East, and started hitting U.S. cities, if Washington had not taken military action against Iran.

“If I had it to do again, I would do exactly what I did,” Trump said on Thursday.

Pezeshkian, who is on his first visit to India, also met with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday. During the bilateral meeting, Modi raised concerns about the safety of seafarers and underscored the need for peace and for freedom of navigation and commerce.

Shipments of oil and other cargoes through the critical Strait of Hormuz separating Iran and Oman have slowed to a trickle since the U.S. and Israel began their war on Iran on Feb. 28, stranding ships and seafarers for weeks or months at a time.

Take a look:

If Americans are warriors, let them face our valiant military forces. Why wage war on civilian infrastructure, food supplies, and livelihoods? If they're human, why deny people access to water, food, and medicine? Our people can't be bullied into submission. Iran won't surrender.

Pezeshkian’s statement came around the same time a vessel was struck in the Strait of Hormuz.

Fox News reported more on the vessel being struck:

A vessel was struck by an unknown projectile while transiting the Strait of Hormuz, the United Kingdom Maritime Trade Operations (UKMTO) said in a verified warning late Saturday.

UKMTO said the condition of the crew, the extent of any damage and the possible environmental impact were not immediately known.

The maritime security agency said authorities were investigating the incident and advised vessels traveling through the strategic waterway to exercise caution and report suspicious activity.

The warning was reported at 11 p.m. UTC Saturday and issued early Sunday UTC. UKMTO did not identify the vessel or say who may have fired the projectile.

Last week President Trump shared he believes the Iran War will end after the midterms.
