The House of Representatives voted to censure outgoing Rep. Chuck Edwards (R-NC) after the House Ethics Committee investigated allegations that he sexually harassed young female staffers in his office.
In a 413-2 vote, the House imposed its strongest punishment short of expulsion.
Although Edwards denied the allegations, he ended his re-election campaign after the committee published its findings.
“Following the vote, Rep. Edwards stood in well of the House while Speaker Johnson read the censure resolution against him from the chair,” C-SPAN wrote.
