California Gov. Gavin Newsom just signed multiple bills into law directly targeting the Trump administration’s efforts to crackdown on election fraud.
Ahead of midterms, Gov. Newsom has made it a felony to “seize or interfere” with ballots before corrupt California officials can certify elections.
The Hill reported on the details of the legislation package:
Newsom says it’s necessary in order to prevent election interference and stop “Trump’s attacks on vote-by-mail.”

In reality, this appears to be a lame attempt to get the Trump DOJ to turn a blind eye to election fraud happening in California under Gov. Newsom’s watch.

I think California is likely MUCH worse when it comes to election fraud. He’s clearly worried about all the arrests being made!
The Supremacy Clause exists for a reason. NO STATE can supersede federal law against fraudsters
If there is fraud, DOJ has the FULL RIGHT to get involved in CA’s elections. In fact, it’s their duty to!
