Election integrity officials just delivered a one-two punch in two of America’s biggest battleground states.
Florida and federal authorities announced cases against 24 defendants accused of illegal voting, fraudulent registration and related election crimes.
The Florida operation accounts for 20 defendants. A separate Justice Department announcement details charges against four noncitizens in Pennsylvania.

The Florida cases grew out of referrals from the state Department of State’s Office of Election Crimes and county supervisors of elections.
ClickOrlando reported that investigators used federal immigration databases to review voter eligibility, then checked voter-registration applications, poll-book signatures and vote-by-mail certificates against those results.
Officials said 16 of the defendants are noncitizens accused of falsely claiming U.S. citizenship before registering and casting ballots. Four others are convicted felons accused of registering and voting while they remained on probation and were not eligible.
Florida Attorney General James Uthmeier said the new cases push the state’s total beyond 100 election-fraud prosecutions since Florida created its Office of Election Crimes. More than half of those prosecutions began after Uthmeier took office, according to the announcement.
The defendants are entitled to the presumption of innocence. The evidence described by investigators, including signed applications and voting records, will now be tested in court.

The Pennsylvania cases are narrower in number but striking in their alleged details.
The Justice Department identified four defendants, including two illegal aliens, accused of election-related crimes in Philadelphia and Chester counties.
Prosecutors allege that Cliff Sanon, an illegal alien from Haiti, submitted a fraudulent registration application in February 2026 before the May primary. The complaint says that application was one of eight fraudulent registrations he allegedly submitted and that he also voted in November 2022.
Dilea Ochoa-Perez, an illegal alien from Mexico, is accused of voting in the 2022 and 2024 general elections. Lawful permanent residents Sade Guppy and Eduardo Gallardo Maldonado are each accused of casting a ballot while they were not U.S. citizens.
The potential penalties range from one year to five years in prison, depending on the charge. Homeland Security Investigations handled the federal investigations, and every allegation remains subject to proof in court.

These announcements land weeks before the midterms, when Pennsylvania and Florida will again help determine the balance of power in Washington.
Democrats and their media allies have spent years insisting noncitizen voting is too rare to justify stronger safeguards. Twenty-four new defendants across two states are a reminder that illegal votes do not have to number in the millions to cancel lawful citizens one ballot at a time.
President Trump has made citizenship verification and election enforcement national priorities. Florida’s state operation and the federal cases in Pennsylvania show what that promise looks like when agencies compare records, follow referrals and bring evidence to a courtroom.
Every legal vote deserves protection. Every official who finds evidence of an illegal ballot has a duty to act, regardless of which party might benefit.
Florida and Pennsylvania are now putting that principle to the test.
